“Clean store nice people who work there. Always willing to help. Sometimes stock is out. Other than that it's a great store. I shop there instead of Wal-Mart whenever possible. Most items are cheaper at dollar General than Wal-Mart”

“I enjoy shopping here. It saves me from a trip into town. The staff is friendly. They have an app to use that may save you a few bucks.I struggled with my 4 star rating. The store has some ongoing issues that I have overlooked during covid even though it has been ongoing.A person in a wheelchair can N O T shop here without help.The floor is covered with carts. Every isle has a cart or 2 in it. Good news is the store is getting new stock and people are out shopping.Bad news is that it's difficult to shop like this.Carts are constantly being moved by customers and it is just a matter of time till someone gets hurt. I wouldn't want to be in the back if something happens, you could easily get trapped back there.I really wish they would hire extra people to help stock.The friendly staff is a plus but I feel business would improve if the store wasnt so cluttered. I will make a point of adding some pics the next time that I visit.”

“Best store in town! Went in looking for some milk during the really bad weather we had and the coolers were out but Helen stopped me as I was going out the door and said we have some in back I would hate for you to go somewhere else in this storm and get hurt just to get milk!!! She went to the back got the milk and I made it home safely!! Good job for hiring this young lady she goes above and beyond for her customers!!”

“The people here are down home and definitely the nicest people. One person remembered me from years ago. The food here is amazing and prepared while you wait. Everything is hot and fresh. You can even put in pick up orders. If only they delivered. The tea was really good. I wish I could give more stars!”

“Ok other than watching employees make an elderly woman search all around store for a buggy after this happened. The lady had put a few items in her buggy she had not been able to cover. Didn't have to remove any items from the final price since she had asked for subtotal twice. So they sent this lady on search for buggy for few items to be placed back on the shelves since her buggy was full of what she had bought already, bagged and placed back into her buggy. The cashier was very nice but it was three employees who seemed as they were maybe customer service or lower management that were rude to this lady. I felt bad for her. She was clearly embarrassed and humiliated and limp walked with a slight limp. Those 3 employees trying to feel their "power" obviously. It surprised me to see this kind of behavior in a small town like Petal.”
