I worked her for 3 years before I moved to Georgia. I worked in the deli and because I did my job and took it apon myself to do more then my share and came on most my off days and appreciated my job and my higher ups they to appreciated me. Mr John and all of mmanagement rock. They are good to their employees. Anyone with issues here brought it on themselves

i used to work here and it was the worst experience i’ve ever had at a job. the customer service people are supposed to be our supervisors and take care of when we go on lunch but they’re usually on a power trip. one girl (ally) is super rude and accused me of stealing a check that was misplaced. she gets away with everything because she’s been there for so long but she’s just rude. i would not recommend working here ever. the pay check was nice but it’s not worth the experience i had. john one of the managers is rude. i told them the days and times i was available and they still scheduled me on those days and times and gave me the days after off. when i reached out to john and expressed concern about the schedule he gave me an attitude and said that they “forgot” and that me not attending on the days i said i couldn’t come wasn’t an option and he said “it’s the holidays and we can’t change the schedule” and told me to get with someone and switch shifts to get off earlier in that day but that i could not have the day off as i told them IN MY APPLICATION. the manager debbie is also very clearly on a power trip. nobody likes her and she treats the people in the c store like they’re children and calls it “the play pen”. they don’t actually care about their employees all they see you as are employees. this job had so much potential but awful management. if you’re looking for a good job with nice people this is NOT the place for you. half of the employees are over 20 and dating or waiting to date minors. it’s creepy. the other half are just enabling it. the only people that i actually liked there either don’t work there anymore or they work in the c store. the place is just like a highschool with all the drama and rumors that go around. one of the workers there confided in john with a personal experience they had and then john proceeded to tell every employee. just think twice before applying here.

Since they removed my comment from their Facebook page, I'll post it here where it's not so easy to remove. You can't silence this mama bear!My daughter worked there for 2 weeks. She would have stayed but you let one of the customer service people bully her to the point where she quit. You're going to continue to have a high turnout rate until you make some changes. Most of the teenagers who work there are miserable but their parents won't let them quit. I let my daughter quit because her mental health is more important than a paycheck. These kids have their whole adult lives to worry about a toxic work environment. Don't let your kids work here unless you're ok with them being singled out, bullied and accused of stealing when a human error is made.

The only reason I give it a 2 star it’s because it is convenient only 8 mins drive from my house. I used to like the store but recently the last few visits and today specifically. Just when I was approaching a register there was a lady from the lady from the register on blue polo shirt. She looked at me disgustingly never said anything or greet me as a customer. When I got to the register the cashier name Brandi gave me a look without saying anything or even a “hi” or “good morning”. They are not well trained and very rude. I used to like Necos the first ever grocery store we shopped when we first moved to Mississippi 6 years ago. I guess people there don’t like Asian people that’s why they act like that. The best time I shop I will speak to them right at their faces tell them to improve there customer service.

Love the small town family owned atmosphere this store was founded on, would be better if the employees (cashers/management) would offer the same, like helping by putting groceries back in your buggy while your cashing out, instead of talking to fellow employees. After working all day the last thing I want to hear, while spending over a days wages, is their personal problems. My cashier this evening told me don't worry about picking up the bag of dog food, I said I hope so, it's heavy I already picked it up and put it in the buggy, she actually said, " I have my mom pick up when we get it because it's too heavy, and she's skinnier than me." There was a time when the cashier would find someone to help a customer with lifting heavy items. I know times are changing and I'm not saying Neco's isn't a great place by any means, we are regular, shop 2 or more times a week. I am just pointing out what would improve customer service, and bring back more of what my family would love to see again in our local family owned grocery store.

Neco’s will always be my place to shop. Thank you to the person who found my iPhone left in a buggy, and to the friendly staff that helped with me when I walked in the store looking for it. There aren’t many places that you can count on items being turned in now a days, but I can honestly say Neco’s is one of them. Thank you! ❤️
