Jason and the team at Ray Brothers are an honest, hard working group who offer great service for an affordable price. Going off of vague, disjointed issues I'd described having with my car, they diagnosed/fixed a dying alternator the same day I hauled it in. Other auto shop rates/time estimates in the area were nearly double what Ray Bros. quoted.

The most unprofessional business owner I have ever encountered. He will lie and fabricate problems with your vehicle in order to charge you more money. If he doesn't tear something up while he's working on it. Im taking him to court for the damage he did to my truck and lied about. After he admitted to cranking my truck initially and then later locking my engine up by putting double the amount of oil that was supposed to go in it allowing oil to go over my pistons and locking it up he lied and said it was locked up when it got there. Little does he know I recorded every conversation even the one where he admitted to cranking it. So I ultimately left there with a bill for nearly $500 to change a fuel filter and the oil. Why would you change the fuel filter or oil on a locked up engine Mr Harwell? Probably because it wasn't locked up until after you changed the oil and put double the amount In it and created problems on the engine Pistons. All of this has been confirmed by a well known professional diesel mechanic in Oxford. Documented and video and voice recordings see you in court buddy. DO NOT USE RAY BROTHERS UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE SCAMMED AND LIED TOO

DO NOT USE THIS MECHANIC SHOP!!!!
The most unprofessional business and owner I have ever had contact with period. He lied about my diagnostic and created more problems with my vehicle than it had before it got there. The owner Jason Harwell is dishonest and does anything he has to in order to make a dollar!!!! He put used parts on my car and claimed they were new. You could clearly see how he tried to clean the part up to make it look new, and it went out a month later and wouldn't honor the warranty it was supposed to have.

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!
I stopped by to ask if they were able to work on a diesel truck and the guy said yes. The truck was running fine when it was taken there the only issue was that it wasn't wanting to crank so every other week or so ether would have to be used to start it however once it would crank it ran great. Within less than 24 hours of the truck being there the guy called me to inform me that the motor was locked up in it and the bill was over $450. My boyfriend called him and was told that they changed the oil, so he asked why the oil was changed if the motor was locked up. The man told him “Well it WAS'T locked up AT FIRST". He told him he had a few tricks he could try and would be in touch. A few days went by and the guy calls me to tell me that he is no longer interested in working on the truck then proceeded to lie to me about the conversation he had with my boyfriend about the truck. When my boyfriend went to let him know we would be having the truck towed to someone who is confident in his work on diesel engines and settle up on the bill the guy started ranting and raving saying he was going to leave my boyfriend's business a bad google review saying that he burned the carpet in his vehicle. He hasn't ever done a job for him much less even seen his vehicle. He also stated that if my boyfriend was better at what he does he would have a better truck then proceeded to inform him that the welds on his truck were crappy. Surely, he doesn’t think my boyfriend welded his own truck together/built it. The maturity level was lower than my 7-year-old son's maturity level. This was my first and LAST time I will ever have any dealings with this shop. I haven't ever seen a business owner conduct himself in the manner in which this guy did. My grandfather started a business in Oxford in the 60's and not once have I ever seen or heard him or my father treat a customer the way this business owner did. I have attached a copy of the receipt in case he attempts to say we didn’t bring a vehicle to him.

If you need a honest mechanics these guys are it! Had an accident where my cv axle snapped which should have costed me over $1,000. These guys were able to replace it with labour around $750. Will definitely come back if I ever need help with my car.

Just needed a tire put onto a rim...hour later... $46.61...very very costly being other places do it for $26.00 max! Never again! Note I brought my own tire. This was just a tire on rim and balance job!

I shopped around and also took my 1993 Dodge Stealth ES to three other shops. They would not work on my car. Even though it only has 58,000 miles and is in show room condition. I have come to realize most shops can't work on a car unless the computer tells them what is wrong. I read reviews of Ray Brothers Auto Repair and there are both good and bad. Being a retired business owner myself I know how this goes at times. When dealing with people in general not all are always as bad as reality of truth. Mad at friend, children , spouse etc. Also mad at situation and many want to lash out and find doing so online is a great way to do it and feel better. With that said. Ray Brothers Auto Repair has my thumbs up. Do not trust your prized vehicles to just anyone. Ray Brothers Auto Repair not only works on new vehicles but for those that have older cars that are in great condition but the age is out of most shops range of repair. Ray Brothers Auto Repair is the shop for the classics that are still prize machines.

This complaint is in reference to Invoice #10199 for thework done October 9, 2023. Our vehicle was towed tothis shop while I was in Oxford on a work trip, so i wasreferred by the towing company. This is an addendum toan original complaint previously filed for a drive shaft thatcompletely fell from under our vehicle on the interstate at7:30 am in morning traffic. Once we had our vehicletowed the morning the drive shaft dropped from underthe vehicle, we we surprised to learn that we hadadditional issues. Our invoice from Ray Brothers clearlystates that parts and labor were charged for universaljoints and pinion seal. Unfortunately, either the work wasnot done at all or was so neglectful that the mechanic wasdisturbed that there was so much fluid leaking and statedthat we had been erroneously charged for undone labor. Our invoice from Ray Brothers that day was $619.67.Three weeks later our invoice for the drive/propeller shaftwas $1300.22 to actually fix our vehicle that we hadalready paid to have done. We have reached out to thiscompany and was shocked that there response was thatthe work done was only "a patch job" so that the vehiclecould make it back to Jackson the same day. Our invoicelist parts we were charged for and they state NEW. It alsolist $220 for labor. There is no mention of partial labor orpatch work labor, or just to get down the road labor. Thereare no notes or recommendations of any additional workneeded on the receipt, implying that work was done andcomplete. Please be careful when letting them do any major work that may cause your vehicle to cause harm to yourself of someone on the road.

Got us tired of try to solve our problems. Worst $1,500 we ever spent. They lie about everything and there is a big guy working there agressive and tries to intimidate our employees when they went there to pickup one of our trucks.Truck was brought in to check why wasn’t starting without starting fluid. They tore up the steering wheel, said the truck was running perfect and, after get paid, we realized the truck was still the same.I wish we read the reviews before get our truck there

We had originally given this shop a very good review. We were mistaken. On October the 9th while on a work retreat in Oxford, my vehicle suddenly started to shake and slow down, eventually stopping. It was unfortunately towed to Ray Brothers Auto. The repairs made were for driveline universal joints and pinion seal along with tow, labor, and diagnostic. Our bill was $619. 67. At the time we were thankful to be able to get back to Jackson the same day. Then 2 days ago at 7:30 in the morning on a busy I-55 interstate the entire drive shaft came apart under my vehicle and eventually after a mile of shaking and bumping the pavement rolled into the interstate. Thank God it did not make contact to trailing vehicles and injure anyone or myself. We contacted Ray Brothers to complain and get some sort of compensation for the new repairs and they lied and stated the work they did was only supposed to be temporary in order to get back to Jackson the same day, and that that was explained to us. At no point in time prior, during, or after we handed them over $600 did anyone say that this was a patch job. Our invoice clearly charges for parts and clearly states replacement, not patch repair. After several attempts and pictures, we have resolved to escalate this issue to legal status. If you have need for an auto repair in Oxford, for safety sake and to not be robbed for unethical work, stay away from Ray Brothers.
