I have emailed them several times over the past week with no response. The first one within hours of my order due to accidental duplicate items. It was shipped to me with no response. Then when the delivery was made, FedEx left it at the end of my driveway in a snowbank and their email delivery updates said it would arrive the day after. This led my live bonsai to essentially sit in a freezer for hours until I noticed. I have cameras on my house and the box wasn’t delivered to my door so I just didn’t know. It’s never happened before. I emailed them again to report this issue and ask for a refund, assistance, or for them to file a report to FedEx since the merchant has to do it and not me. Nothing. My order was close to $200 and I guess I’m stuck with dead plants and items I didn’t intend to order.

Made an impromptu stop here while traveling cross country about 6 months ago and just loved it! I also met Brussel himself! Very down to earth guy who was happy to talk bonsai soil with me. I think it’s really neat that they allow the public to come through and visit even though they do most of their sales to places all over the country vs individuals passing through. I loved it and plan to stop by any chance I get when I’m in the area! If you like bonsai they have a beautiful collection of cultivated beauties showcased in one of the greenhouses near the main entrance building

I had an exceptional experience acquiring a Chinese Elm Bonsai from Brussel’s Bonsai. While initially apprehensive about ordering a bonsai online due to the personal nature of selecting such a unique tree, my concerns were completely alleviated by the outstanding customer service provided by Chris O’Bryan. Not only did he patiently address all my inquiries, but he went above and beyond by personally hand-selecting the tree that would be shipped to me. This level of personalized attention is a rarity in online purchases. I extend my gratitude for the excellent tree and impeccable customer service. Without a doubt, I look forward to being a repeat customer in the future.

I ordered a Bonsai tree through Walmart.com which came in a box from Brussel's Bonsai Nursery. This was a gift. The packers at Brussel's Bonsai only secured the pot with saran wrap around the styrafoam at the bottom. There was nothing to secure sides and top, just empty space. The tree came loose in the box, due to poor packing methods. Two branches broke. Called up Bonsai and they said it was not their problem, as I ordered through Walmart. Walmart accepted my return. Since this was a gift, I called Bonsai back, hoping to make an order. The representative was very curt. She said that she couldn't match Walmart prices. She also said she would not ship anything this week. Even saying I would accept a late delivery, she was not going to take my business. After I talked with her, I went to their site. It would of cost me $2.00 more. I did tell her I would write this review. It's a shame. Poor business practice and bad customer relations.

Great nursery with awesome selection of bonsai. I've purchased several lost one through my own ignorance. Note to all don't try growing a boxwood indoors. My Fukien Tea is awesome thriving in n just 5 months with abundant new growth and blooms.

Update: The owner reached out and made good on the gift certificate despite the fact that I'm pretty sure no one there actually believed me that someone at the company had given me the wrong information. In any event - new gift certificate received - order placed and now will just await its arrival. I had already purchased a grow light and materials to make a grow box for the bonsai in anticipation of this purchase. This will be my son's first bonsai and the owner's willingness to work with me will make us both loyal customers. Thank you!

Love the Bonsai, but when I unwrapped it, the pot was broken. Don't really understand how it could have been damaged during the trip. It was packed so perfectly.

Order arrived with a broken pot. Shit happens. Reached via phone cal 5 times, email 3 times zero reply. Could have been an easy issue to solve but ignoring it is bullshit.

Very poor customer service. I ordered a plant and it wasn't sent out for over a week, despite their website's claim that they send out next day (this was intended to be a birthday gift). No notifications, so I contacted them. Manager claimed they should have called/emailed me to let me know that the shipment would be delayed due to cold weather, but that never happened. Not very understanding and would do nothing to accommodate me. I subsequently emailed the owner several times and he did not respond. The exact plant I ordered went on sale the day they shipped it out and they would not give me the sale price, despite their failures.Thanks for the quick reply to the post. I spoke to the manager multiple times when this occurred (late May) and she was absolutely of no help. I was very impressed with their response to a shipping error that I made with a wrong zip code. They more than answered the bell with a complete replacement of the order. Who does that??!! Their trees are awesome as well. The gift that keeps on giving.

This place is Fabulous! Our garden club did a Field Trip today. They are closed on Saturdays but we were allowed to book on a Saturday. We got a demonstration and a tour. The guys doing the demonstration were fantastic as was the tour. We all agreed we had a wonderful day and I can't wait to Bonsai all my plants. Thank you all!

This is a follow up to earlier review. I sent that rreview after a Terry stamps said esentially "Sorry it died, there is nothing we can do!" so I gave them 1 star and a bad review. I got a reply from Terra the General Manager saying how sorry she was over the experience we had, and offering to replace the Gardenia with another, if we wantd to try again. naturally we jumped at the chance. Second plant ame in and was beautiful. It is growing like everything and even now has flowers. Our thanks to Terra and the the wonderful response from Brussles Bonsai. We could not be happier.

I ordered a metasequoia grove, and it certainly wasn't cheap. It did arrive quickly and in good order. I followed their instructions to the letter and the trees began to fail. One section has dead needles and the rest of them are becoming dull and brown. I sent several emails, received one response asking for photos, which I sent twice and then never heard from them. I'm now going to guess this bonsai will die. This isn't the type of thing that can wait for a response. The tree looks worse daily. Their support is awful. Don't waste your money.

I had bought 2 Chinese elms recently from Brussels I couldn't be more happier they far exceeded my expectations. Keep up the good work. Will definitely be purchasing more.
