Baowow's is the best lil' neighborhood gas station. Good beer selection, good snacks, and really nice people that work there.

Gas is a bit higher because Marathon is BP's stations on the Coast. They are a higher priced gas normally. I won't buy gas there, but as a corner store it's a good as any.

Gasoline was priced a wee bit higher here, but at $2.21/gal for 87 octane, it was a bargain compared to $3.87/gal in San Diego. Of course the CA politicians don't want you to know that the price includes about $1.80 per gallon taxes. The convenience store was really inadequate compared to others in the area, and also a bit run-down. Not an uplifting visit, so just get the gas and be on your way. On the other hand, the name: Bao Wow? Ya gotta love it !
