My 81 year old friend pays out of pocket for a service project garden every year. We have used Courtney Farms every year for the last four years. My friend was frustrated at the nonchalance exhibited by Tutti this year when we gave her an itemized plant list, identical to last year, minus lantana and requesting more dill and herbs. We asked for an estimate so we could have a purchase order for $1000. drawn up. We were given a vague, non-specific, hand written list in return and told it was last year’s prices, not this year’s, for the estimate. My friend was frustrated by this but we talked about it and wanted to support locally owned businesses. We were called to pick up roughly 20% of the order. It was sitting on the ground without an itemized list of what we were supposed to pick up or prices. We actually drove back home to get our copy of the list we had submitted for purchase. Tutti was so rude to an 81 year old man, that has been a regular customer, we canceled the purchase order. We asked for a list of what we were picking up, priced and signed by Courtesy Farms. We were told it could be several weeks for the rest of it to come in. Tutti also told him that we did not submit an itemized list of what we wanted to purchase when we did do that, asking her for the priced estimate in order to get the purchase order executed. She was calling both of us liars. I told her “remember the day we gave it to you, that you said you couldn’t sit down with us because you had to go somewhere?” When we came to pick up our flowers on Wednesday without a list or price being provided by Courtesy Farms, I said “I’m not going to stand here while you call me a liar about not providing the initial itemized list for the purchase. Tutti looked at me and said “fine,” and motioned to the door. I said to my friend “I’m going to go outside to the truck because I’m not going to be called a liar. If you decide you don’t want to buy here, we can go somewhere else tomorrow and get what we need, and not wait over weeks for it to come in a little at a time. Ultimately that’s what we decided to do. Tutti you shouldn’t be rude to customers or act like we are lying about providing you with a list or a purchase order. Thank God we were able to find everything we needed, for $300 less than the initial authorization, and it’s all in the ground only 48 hours after we were treated so rudely. We always had good service and proper care when it was Stephanie. The reason people should shop with local merchants instead of big box stores is the relationship and customer service. This is lost on Tutti. We regret we will never be able to shop with Courtney Farms again while Tutti is there. There are so many wonderful people there, including Laurie, the front desk staff and the Latin gentlemen that work outside. Tutti is lacking in organization, manners, and even common decency to be rude to an 81 year old man.

I was nearby and decided I needed some indoor plants. I didn’t know what kind so I was wandering around outside looking at things. When a woman came up and asked me if she could help. I explained I have diffused light in my apartment, but wanted plant. She spent about an hour with me showing me around, explaining how to take care of this plant to that plant which ones were good for inside and which ones were good for outside. I ended up with two plants, a new pot, dirt, and a new rug. It is a lovely facility, and the staff was marvelous. It was not overpriced. I recommend everyone go check it out.

I loved that place. I can't belive I've lived in the gulf coast for over 20 years and I've never visited that place. Staff is very kind and helpful. A little more expensive that other places, but great to have so close.
