If you are looking for handmade, eclectic, antique and UNIQUE items, go see them. They are welcoming and will go above and beyond for their customers.

It’s kind of sad that they need to teach their security not to judge people so quickly. I have worked for security for long time and that’s not what you do and walk on people that are just taking pictures of the marble vase.

What a great place! Jarrett and Joanne are incredible people with hospitality that businesses just don't have anymore. And it was really cool to find out Jarrett was a food critic for 10 years in my hometown Tampa Bay!! I recommend the Coastal Magpie to EVERYONE! My family and I look forward to seeing ya'll again!!

Fun store! Full of beautiful pottery, Knick knacks and unusual items. My favorite shop in the whole area. I was a visitor from California and they shipped my items for me. My box arrived before I did. Everything was packed with care and the shipping cost was very reasonable. Thanks for the great service and beautiful shop!

Edited to respond to owner: I understand you have perspective, but reviews are one way for an owner to understand the customer experience...not an open invitation for an owner to lie about what I experienced first-hand. This attitude of self-importance above that of your shopper is exactly why I was so disappointed. The owner's response below makes it clear that she thinks that it is the customer's responsibility to interrupt her conversation with friends when they obviously have questions. Poor customer service...period.Further, I'm afraid you are confused about your "visitor". The lady you were talking to was most definitely not a yearly "friend" passing through. In fact, she wasn't even shopping. She was heading home according to the conversation for all to hear. And her friend was just hanging out with her. Yes, the staff member/owner did ignore me coming to the counter not once but twice. During the time I was there, there were only two customers plus the friend. And, yes, I was very patient. I did go to the counter to get assistance, but the conversation never broke and the staff member never looked my way...she ignored me. I returned to shopping for another 10-15 minutes. After trying to get the staff member's attention yet again, I just gave up. Not worth the effort.Original review: One of my "must visit stores" before going on vacation turned into a real disappointment. I love getting information about local art before I buy, but the staff was too busy talking to friends hanging out at the counter to bother. Luckily, there are other amazing shops in the area. Marking this one off my list of shops to visit again.

We love this store and its' owners Jarrett & JoAnn. Super friendly and always go out of their way to speak to you when you are there. If you want to be treated like you are at Wal Mart, then this isn't the store for you. The customer service here is second to none, but sometimes you have to be patient as they are very busy. Great store with great owners.

Really cool store! Beautiful and ecclectic mix of art, housewares, and so so much more. Mississippi gift items, unique antiques and tons of beautiful handmade artistry. The owner was engaging and friendly. We had a wonderful time browsing all of the wonderful selection of items! A must visit in Ocean Springs! Put this one on your list!
