I was assaulted here by a staff member at around 21:15 on Sunday, 19 February 2023. After complying with this clerk's request to remove my backpack and messenger bag (to thwart any threat of shoplifting), I proceeded to shop/browse the store for some snacks and a drink, and to use the microwave to heat up a package of Ramen noodles.This clerk harassed me verbally about the bags (which were then on the counter), before proceeding to chase me out of the store before I could pay for my snacks/drink. When I exited the door, that clerk then tried to pick me up and throw me physically throw me down onto the concrete parking lot in front of the gas station.This clerk continued punching me and kicking me while I was on the ground, without any explanation or cause. When I managed to get away, I called 911 to dispatch the Natchez PD to respond to this physical assault.I will never shop here again until that staff member is disciplined - with or without the intervention of law enforcement and criminal charges against this individual.
