McCarty Pottery is an absolute artist’s dream in the middle-of-nowhere; a curated, expertly crafted collection of famous hand spun pottery that adorns homes all over the world–literally–all over the world, with a formal garden inside an unmarked cypress wall adjacent the studio housed in an old mule barn. It is a unique shopping destination. Shelves line the walls with delightful animals, kingly goblets, and handleless coffee tumblers, (much more elegant than the handled mugs in my opinion). There is a trademarked "river," a small black wavy line representing the Mississippi River on most pieces. Colors are nutmeg brown, cobalt blue, and the dazzling jade. They have bridal registries and children can feed the koi fish.

I've been going here since I was a kid and I've loved seeing the place grow in popularity. All the pottery is hand made and make great gifts! It's been years since I went to the restaurant but the last time I went it was delicious.
