The only reason I am giving a one is because we wanted to eat here. Yelp listed hours as open until 10. We arrived at 7:15. Doors closed and locked.

Born and raised in New Orleans, and since there's no more Gene's Poboy's this is the best Po-Boy out there. The bread taste like there's a Leidenheimer factory adjacent. The shrimp is thoroughly seasoned and carefully breaded. This Poboy has completely altered my routes when I travel to and fro. I've taste every great poboy place in New Orleans and this tops them all, and that pains me to say that!

Best shrimp poboy in town! Their food is made fresh. Fast service too. We will be back.

Best crawfish boil and shrimp poboys for miles. They have other dishes but we haven't been able to tear ourselves away from our favorite. We always get ours to go and eat in our house. We recenthad family from Wisconsin visiting and they loved the food. They also had trouble believing we got such delicious food inside a gas station. lol. You will not be disappointed and the food is plenty

The food is good here but get it to go. The tables and seating are filthy. The food staff is not in charge of the seating areas as they are the property of the gas station, not the restaurant inside and they never get cleaned. I discounted the rating not because of the food, but because of the filthiness of the area around it.

Best shrimp poboy north of I-10. Large portions so bring an appetite. They do have done-in tables but this is in a gas station so moderate your expectations accordingly. These ladies know how to cook.

The food was really good. When I saw that the restaurant was inside a service station, I was somewhat hesitant. but I'm happy that we decided to give them a try. The area was clean, the food was safely prepared and served at the proper temperature. Though the store is small, the employees seemed passionate about delivering a tasty restaurant quality meal. When passing this way again, we would happily dine again.

My family and I recently moved to Meridian from Louisiana and we have been trying different local restaurants in hopes of finding a place that would serve food that tasted similar to Louisiana (If anyone has eaten in Louisiana you know what I am talking about). Well we don't have to look any further because we found the place! Seafood Express is my now go to place when I am craving seafood particularly the seafood platter combo with fried shrimp, fried oysters and fried catfish. I tried their fried chicken and was not disappointed either. It is a little off the beaten path though and is a tiny "hole in the wall" but the food makes up for the extra drive time and what it lacks in decor. I highly recommend eating there.

What a find! Very friendly folks in the neighborhood thought I was parked on the wrong side to get gas, I said, nope, I'm here for the shrimp poboy! I ate the 8 inch. The shrimp were hot and so many were on there that they were falling off. What really made it was the bread. It was very close to what you'd get in New Orleans. Excellent prices, too.
