“This little pit stop is conveniently located near the house of a friend of mine, making it a frequent stop on our trips through the area. The staff welcomes everyone through the door like they're long lost family, and will happily shoot the breeze with you. The hot box is excellent here, though you need to get in early to enjoy it as it closes sometime between 3-4. The hot box, not the store. The store closes on some serious southern "ish" time. While they supposedly close at 5, I've been down there as late as 7pm and found the doors open and the lights on. A perfect piece of country on a back highway.”
