We have stopped here every trip back home to visit family several times a year for the past 6 years, the guy working was always nice & the bathrooms were clean. We would purchase drinks & top off gas. Yesterday we stopped & he was acting very odd/erratic, the restrooms had zero tp only 2 napkins were in the ladies room. Sadly We won’t be back. ??♀️

We stayed here twice on the same trip, because this location is the halfway point from where we live to where we were going. We were headed to Orlando, FL and on the way to FL stayed here for the night. The hotel was under renovation, but we were given a room on the 3rd floor which looked like it had been recently renovated. Excellent room, quiet and wonderful breakfast the next morning. Our issue with the hotel occurred on our return from FL to home. We we initially given a room on the 1st floor. Upon entering the room, it was obvious someone had been in the room and left it in disarray. Our complaints to the front desk got us an explanation not entirely believable. We were told the room had recently been inspected...the bed looked like someone had been in it...bathroom had towels kind of thrown around and hair dryer was lying helter skelter on counter. We refused to stay in this room and were given another room across the hall from this one. Hind sight, should have requested 3rd floor again. The faucet dripped all night and the refrigerator made a clicking noise all night. Had to use white noise from one of our phones to drown out the annoying noises. No apologies from front desk at all; just a substandard room. Also this is not a very convenient location for a hotel, since there are not restaurants near by, just 2 gas stations. We will cross this off our list of repeat stays. I will drive a few more miles and pay a little more to stay in a better hotel/location. This was a shame, because I love staying at Holiday Inn Express and have never had a bad experience such as this at any of their other properties.

We have stayed here several times and there always seems to be an issue. This time we were charged twice for a pet friendly room which is $25 more for cleaning. Also, the room was not cleaned or straightened up after the first day. We were told that we would not be charged the $25 because of the mistake and then we were charged twice. Upon leaving we were told by the desk that she could not correct the charges but had to be approved by a manager who was not there. We will see if it is corrected. We doubt it.. . Also, the HVAC was inconsistent. It would heat to a displayed 78 degrees with a setting of 68 degrees. Spent two days trying to get a comfortable setting. The AC plug in the bathroom was worn and barely usuable.. . The complimentary breakfast was as expected but good.. . We will stay here again because we have no other reasonable choice.

We stayed while racing at Wild Country Off-road Park in Leakesville. Hotel had friendly staff, clean rooms and good cookies for a welcome. Booked through Expedia with no problems. They are currently renovating.

In town for a week with work. Very nice, very nice stay this week. My room was very clean and the staff does an excellent job of making sure all of my needs were met. At this time they are under construction and remodel, but they do an excellent job of providing exceptional customer services.

This is the first hotel I've visited since traveling for work in 1 1/2 years that made me feel appreciated as a guest: my name was on their lobby lighted sign, thank you letters in my room, and a star on my door! The king suite was nice and large, Keurig machine, and pillows large and comfy. Only complaint I have is since I work nights and sleep days, the exterior painting lift truck beeping kept me awake- through no fault of the hotel however. (I could have change rooms, that's on me.). Upon checking out though, I was not thanked nor wished a good day, a little disappointing.

We arrived a little late but the hotel was pretty empty. I think we figured out why:Totally uninterested and stoic front desk guy clerk. We were given a first floor room that had been ridden hard and put up wet.No bedside lamp fixture on my side of the bed.Super soft water that will not wash off soap or shampoo.Tub would not drain; creepy feeling and unsanitary. And this is a IHG property, a Holiday Inn Express! Sad to say either their standards have deteriorated to a sad level, or whoever is paid to inspect properties is not getting the job done.Either way, avoid this inn at all costs!

Stayed at HIE-Lucedale, MS on Fri 08/03//2018 as a 5K point reward night. Hotel is in a rural area on the main highway with good external signage. There is a gas station and convenience store nearby, but restaurants are several miles away. Parking lot was empty when we arrived, and appeared there would be plenty of spaces most days.We arrived about 1:45p but the very friendly and helpful front desk clerk, Tiffany, was able to get us a clean room early. We got our welcome points the same day. Their lobby is mid-sized, clean with nice seating area. Floors are a combination of tile and carpet. There is a chandelier. A single clean, fast elevator took us upstairs. We noticed several rooms on our level were being renovated and carpet in front of those doors were covered with wallboard dust but rest of hallway was clean. Room access is via standard badge reader. No door alignment or locking hardware issues. Our 2Q room, was large but sparsely furnished. There was a shelf for one suitcase. Our second piece of luggage had to go on the desk since no chair in the room and no foldable luggage rack available. Carpet was light color and clean. Room had fresh smell. Window could be opened which we like a lot. Very nice curtain and valence. There is a small mini-fridge and microwave, iron and ironing board as well as a small coffee machine. There were power outlets on the wall between the bed, but few others. WIFI via IHG Connect had easy access and stable service. TV is a bit smallish. An issue is the in-room channel guide - it's worthless. Many of the popular channels do not align with what the channel card says. But relatively few channels so we were able to scan through and find what we wanted.Bathroom is average size with granite countertops and plenty of space for your stuff. Noticed the hairdryer is not yet mounted to wall but worked well. Shower had average water pressure from a showerhead much higher than average. Towels are plentiful and clean. All else in bathroom worked as designed.Breakfast area is separated from lobby and appeared to have average seating. Did not try their breakfast but did have early morning coffee a little after 5am.All in all, staff is very friendly and hotel, with few exceptions, is pretty good. As a 5K night, we were quite pleased with this property.
