Sabrina is the absolute best hairstylist I have had in many, many years. When I first met her over a year ago I was a walk in and new here in Laurel. I told her what kind of a cut I liked the most on me and she asked a few questions and she got the vision of it right away and it didn’t take her long to get it, and she absolutely nailed it as to what I wanted. It was beautiful! Every time I go back she cuts it exactly the same way, which is very hard for a hairdresser to do, to be consistent over time…but she is. I enjoy talking with her, she’s a wise soul kind of gal and I appreciate that. She now has a very good team of very nice girls working with her as well. It’s a great place to go, very friendly and inexpensive for all the work she puts in. I highly recommend her and her Salon to all of Laurel, she is a highly polished gem!

Ah SmartStyle, a bonnie place for a trim, but nae perfect. The stylists are canny and ken their way around a heid o hair, but the wait times can be a wee bit o a drag, like a slow haggis.
Noo, the prices are fair, but ye get what ye pay for, and sometimes that's a wee bit o a wait. The stylists are friendly like a wee Highland terrier, but they cannae work miracles. The cuts are decent, but if ye want a true Scottish transformation, ye might need to look elsewhere, like a wee mouse in a cheese factory.
The atmosphere is fine, but it won't blow ye away like a strong Highland wind. It's clean and bright, but lacking that extra wee bit o' Scottish charm. Nae a place to bring yer wee ones for their first haircut, but it'll dae in a pinch if ye need a quick tidy up afore a big ceilidh.
In summary, SmartStyle is nae bad, but it's nae great either. It's a decent option if ye need a trim and dinnae have the time to climb Ben Nevis for a proper barber. Three stars.

The stylist that cut my youngest hair was amazing. The second stylist that cut my oldest was anything but good. We showed her exactly how short we wanted the hair. She didn’t speak much after that. Instead of below the shoulder my daughter’s hair is almost a bob. Once we made it to the car she started crying. She is devastated she will have to start school like this.
