In the heart of Laurel, Mississippi, there is a place where the flavors are as rich as the stories that unfold within its walls. La Moreliana, a local gem that sits discreetly on North 5th Avenue, is more than a restaurant; It is a culinary journey that transcends the ordinary experience of eating.
When you cross the doors of La Moreliana, the warm and welcoming atmosphere wraps you like a blanket. The lively hum of satisfied customers blends harmoniously with the sizzle and pop of the kitchen, creating a symphony of sounds that sets the stage for an unforgettable meal.
The menu, a tapestry of traditional recipes passed down from generation to generation, is a testament to the authenticity that La Moreliana is proud to offer. Each dish is crafted with the utmost care, ensuring that every bite tells a story of heritage and passion. The flavors are bold, but balanced, as is the life's work of the artisans who prepare them.

I was excited at first when I saw they have so much stuff but upon looking closely , they’re not that affordable especially the meat department. Freezer items looks old and not organized I bought some and it’s frozen bites (banana) not going there again

The cashiers serve you reluctantly, you ask something and they forcefully answer you. They mix the meat with the food, that is not done because of salmonella. And it's happened several times here and always the same thing.

This is a Mexican market, so no one speaks English and that’s ok. If you don’t speak Spanish, remember your experience may not be ideal. I go here to buy Seuro Oral for my husband as he works in the heat a lot - helps during summer months to stay hydrated! But they have a lot of nice looking produce, spices, and other things that I need to learn to cook with! Also, their bread cabinet looks pretty fabulous.

I work at Dunn Roadbuilders which has been in business in Laurel Mississippi for probably 30-40 yrs & has been a company since 1878. Ive cashed my check at this place numerous times but today I went in there and all the girl could say was no, no. I was shocked that for some reason today they can’t cash my payroll check all of a sudden. I don’t know what changed since the previous times I went there to cash my check & every time they were happy to do it. She was happy to cash the checks of other people for whom were in the store while I was there but not mine. I actually felt discriminated against. It was really embarrassing. Oh well, they don’t have to worry about me ever doing business with them again. Evidently they’ve decided that they dont want my business anyway.
