I seriously believe that uptown hair studio can be considered a staple in the South Jackson community. They've service thousands upon thousands of patrons and have been in the community for over 10 years. The owner is always around so if you have any complaints she is there to assist you. Plus a lot of the staff has been working together for more than 10 years. They have truly come leaps and bounds. They are very well keeping appointments and also catering to walk ins

I've gotten hair care services from Pam Jones, and she is quick, fair priced, and does a very excellent job with my hair. She's the only reason I come back and gave the facility 4 stars. She deserves 5 stars, but I have to comment about how the barber side of the staff is. First time we came and a guy cut my son's hair in rush, and it wasn't worth the $15 I paid. My son had still had pieces of hair sticking up on his head after the cut because he dude cut it every which a way instead of taking his time. On top of that when you walk in unless you're their client they show no type of hospitality, and dont seem very welcoming at all. People are supposed to speak when you walk in their business, but they just stare at you as if you're an intruder. The customer service can definitely use some toning up on the barber side. I will continue to visit and let Mrs. Pam do my hair, but my son will never get services with the barbers ever again because of the stink attitudes are unnecessary!

Well, I was referred to Brandon, but ended up making an appointment with Robert over the phone because Brandon wasn't available. It's our first time to shop period, so I ask for Robert soon as I walk in door. So he (Robert) raises his finger stating he was who I was asking for while sitting in a chair getting his dreads done!! Our appointment is at 4pm. He says nothing to us the whole time as we wait over 15 minutes while he gets his dreads done. We ended up leaving. Obviously, his dreads was more important than a new client and money! Absolute poor customer service and just rudeness!!
