This place is a 00 negative star place to go. The Emergency Room is a Joke people have been here for up to 15 hours still waiting to be called back. IF YOU ARE NEEDING TO GO BACK TO THE BACK QUICKLY THEN GRAB AN AMBULANCE THATS THE ONLY WAY YOUR NOT GOING TO SET IN WAITING ROOM AND NOT DIE. IF NOT YOU WILL HAVE AN 8 HOUR WAIT LIKE US. PEOPLE HAVE BEEN HERE ALL DAY AND JUST UP AND LEFT. They have the nasties waiting area. No one in the 8 hours we were here ever came and wipe anything down, nothing. The bathroom porta potties at an outdoor concert are cleaner then there waiting room bathroom. We waited 8 hours to make it to the back when inning the back, first thing you seen was 3 employees setting as you walk through the doors with their phones in their hands up to their face. With people still waiting in front. Made it to the back and so far nurses and help has been good to us.

The Er .is ridiculous. Having to sit for 12 hours or longer. I hope I never get referred here,because that would be a big no. Do better ummc.

My mom had surgery here and the way that they treated her is pure disgusting. She was recovering from her surgery and she asked her nurses for water. They refused to get her water and they were standing over her bed watching her cry and scream for water. When she finally did catch the attention of a nurse outside of her room, she brought her ice chips, so after she ate her ice chips, she asked for more water and they refused again. They locked the rails on her bed so that she wouldn’t get up. So she put her leg over the rails to go and get her own water and they took her legs and threw her back into the bed. My mom told them that she was going to call the nursing board on them and they told her “so I don’t care, call the nursing board”. So later that day one of the nurses came back into her room and she asked the nurse to turn the heat on for her because she was cold and the nurse told her “no I can’t turn on anything for you”. So she called me on the phone and had me to call the hospital and ask them to come into her room and put a blanket on her. We reported the incident to the manager and he did not care. He brushed it off and tried to make it seem like my mom was just crazy and sedated in which she wasn’t. I am so angry about this. This whole incident was so ghetto and unprofessional and I will be reporting the whole WC second floor staff to the nursing board since the manager refuses to take care of or look into the situation and they refuse to give us names and they’re pretending like they didn’t know who was in the room.

That ER is a joke! My husband’s skin & eyes were so yellow! He has liver disease to be seen about..not an alcoholic. They were not in a hurry for him to be seen! We waited for hours & decided to leave to go to Baptist Hospital ER. We were seen in less than an hour!

Got referred over here from a ummc doctor to have a emergency MRI and Spinal Tap done and have been waiting for 4 hours. Nurse at check in was extremely rude too.

By far the crappiest hospital in the country. My wife and I have been waiting here for over 6 hours. She was sent over here with a referral to have an URGENT MRI done. Completely ridiculous.

Was told they couldn’t do anything more for , now I’m throwing up an hour after I’ve left. I called and Angelica very casually told it was “up to me” to return for medical care.

Emergency room: Horrible managementMy person was taken by ambulance at NOON, it is currently 10pm and he's STILL in the ER and I have called many many times since 2pm and not a single person has answered his nurse phone. I left a message with the charge nurse earlier today and she said his nurse would call me back, nothing. Haven't heard from anyone. This is truly a disgrace!!!
