The Er .is ridiculous. Having to sit for 12 hours or longer. I hope I never get referred here,because that would be a big no. Do better ummc.

That ER is a joke! My husband’s skin & eyes were so yellow! He has liver disease to be seen about..not an alcoholic. They were not in a hurry for him to be seen! We waited for hours & decided to leave to go to Baptist Hospital ER. We were seen in less than an hour!

ER wait time, 4 hours. Bring food and a full battery and hope you don’t die in the waiting room

The University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) adult emergency department is the only Level I trauma center in Mississippi. We treat over 70,000 adult patients annually, the highest emergency department volume in the state. Directions: From North State Street, turn onto UMMC campus from the stoplight at University Drive (across from Back Yard Burgers). Turn right; at the stop sign, turn left to continue on University Drive. To drop off an emergency room patient, turn left at the red "Emergency" sign.
