We recently had the most amazing experience at the Old Capitol Inn, where we are planning to have our wedding. From start to finish, everything has been seamless, thanks to Bruce, who has truly been a godsend. He went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was perfect. Whether it was helping with the décor, logistics, or answering our endless questions, Bruce was always there with a smile and a solution. The venue itself is beautiful, but the service makes it exceptional. Highly recommend the Old Capitol Inn for any event, especially if you’re lucky enough to have Bruce assisting!”

“Great hotel with friendly staff. Nice clean rooms. Downside: parking. The entire large lot across from the hotel is Valet only. Was nicely advised that I can park on the street “at your own risk” and that they start ticketing around 0830. So, parking is inconvenient for guests not choosing valet.”
“I really like a small. It's so cute and it's got an orange theory, be careful with the parking lot. I went in the wrong way and totally messed myself up. But other than that, it's completely accessible and very easy to navigate, lots of parking”

“I moved from Florida to Texas this month and stayed here with my friend and my two cats during our journey. It's a beautiful, well-kept hotel; I would definitely come back. Not to mention the staff is incredibly helpful and friendly! On the morning we were meant to check out, my youngest female cat (who weighs maybe 7 pounds) went missing. We spent about three hours searching for her before finding her wedged in a dead space between the kitchen cabinets and dishwasher in our room. Cats, am I right? Although the experience was distressing, the hotel's staff stopped what they were doing and came together to help my friend and me search for my cat. We were so grateful for their generosity and time that we had them write their names down so we could include them in the review. Gwen from laundry, Tamara the supervisor, and Shawana from housekeeping were the three main women who aided us. Thank you ladies SO much. The man at the front desk whose name I can't remember for the life of me was also awesome. Plus the maintenance man who helped get my cat out from the crawl space! Just an altogether amazing team of people working at the Residence Inn by Marriott in Jackson. Much appreciated.”
“Me and my wife decided to move to this location for a temporarily purposes and I can say it was a great decision. Mr. Corey and Mr. Boone are very attentive to the customer needs. Very helpful staff. I would definitely recommend this property for any patron

“Great time, 10/10 Recommend I love it here… I met this guy named Ken He was such a Delight to have a conversation with. He told me about the Hotel, I responded with an immediate response of Thank you. I enjoyed the breakfast. And I can’t forget the Housekeeping. They gave me towels, A pleasant attitude, and cleaned my room when I went out. The pool is very exciting to go out with friends. My kids love it. Thanks BW Plus.”

“Star is a good hour hotel. They have decent water pressure, the room is clean (as clean as could be), they have a fridge and microwave, and the tv always works. They also have A/C and heat & a phone in the room. What more can you ask for in a pay by the hour room. You can also stay overnight if you like.”
“It was car to car packed there . Dj was playing the right song's, the alcohol was on point, the atmosphere was mixed crowd. It was really a great experience”

“I came here 2 years ago when passing through and stayed at this motel. It’s now 2024 since then it looks like they upgraded. They Don’t have any bug which is good and last time I stayed they didn’t either.if your staying for a night they don’t give you a key you just got to lock the door behind you.i don’t recommend bringing kids since they do charge by the hour if you know what I mean for you know what. If you passing through give it try no bugs and affordable if your okay with that and yes I did felt safe enough to stay.”
“Found this place late last night while heading back home. I honestly didn't think the rooms would be much to boast about but I was presently suprised! We learned that it's under new ownership and management AND they are working tirelessly to get the hotel back up to it's former glory. CAN'T BEAT THE RATES EITHER!
Rooms: The newly remodeled rooms are so cute, and ALL their rooms are non-smoking! A++++ For that!
Safety: There wasn't a lot of traffic in and out, and we saw management patrolling the area during our stay.
Noteworthy details: It's SO quiet. You wouldn't believe you were in South Jackson.”

“Honestly, very nice room for a very nice price. Room is clean and bed is soft. Yes the stairway could smell nicer and yes their are some spots that could be cleaner but I would still recommend to anyone on a budget or just not wanting to spend a lot. Definitely not as bad as the reviews I’ve seen.”

“Ok, so I have been off work last week and a half. Fixing to try to work till my health issues are resolved. I am gonna try my best to get rooms back up to par. I see bad reviews and don't want folks thinking it's my fault. I do the best with what I have to work with. I think more renovations are being discussed very soon. If u can overlook management rough edges, I promise this place isn't all that bad. Give us a chance once we do work over next few months, hope u will enjoy your stay. UPDATE: I CAN ASSURE U THAT THERES NO HIDDEN CAMERAS IN THE ROOMS. JUST BECAUSE U R UPSET DOESNT MEAN LIE. YES THIS PLACE NEEDS TO B UPDATED, BUT NOBODY HAS PLACED CAMERAS IN THE ROOMS. I am housekeeper and live on site at oyo hotel I 55 south. I tend to bottom floor. I hope that everyone has a good safe stay and comes back for repeat business. I do my best to clean and maintain rooms to satisfy guests. Thanks for your patience during renovation”
“The location was very good. It is a nice city to walk around during the day time. Beautiful building.
The service was pretty good. When I checked in I was not told anything about the amenities or given any waters, which maybe is different than other hotels. At almost 7, When I went to load my car on the last day, it took 10 minutes and another guest entering the hotel to let me in to get my beverage before I got on the road. The front counter person was gone and even the valet could not reach anyone. The valets were awesome. Do know this is valet only, which may be standard for Jackson, so not a complaint. No complaints, just being transparent regarding my stay. Recommend this location.”

“My husband and I spent a night recently, and had a pleasant experience. The property was clean, including the room. The bed was comfortable. I liked the Dove brand they used for the toiletries (they had the regular sized containers instead of the individual minis. The containers were locked, but allows you to pump/dispense as needed). The breakfast was okay; everything was low when we got there, but it was an hour and a half before breakfast ended, so I'm assuming (hoping) things were replenished shortly after we grabbed our plate and headed to our room.
No complaints. Would definitely stay again.”

“This is a beautiful inn! We so enjoyed our stay. Everyone was so gracious, the inn was charming and clean, and the garden was lovely. We have never stayed at a nicer place. We are already planning on coming back next year! I highly recommend!”
