This place was horrible. Purchased a car 2 days ago after viewing online video and now the check engine light is on. I had to request the car to be cleaned, the top wasn't painted and I was told that service could handle it the next day. I'm being told now that it can't be handled until August. So I had none of the new car feel/experience that you would expect. Bad experience
Update: now the car won't crank and I'm in another state. Called customer service and rep jad bad attitude so it took over an hour to get it towed. Stuck here with no transportation on a car I just bought.
Be careful of buying from Carmax.

They appraise vehicles for higher amounts compared to regular car dealerships. The trade off is that you will be waiting a good while. Pay close attention to TV screen indicator that shows 'appraisal in process' or 'offer ready' cause the customer service agent did not come tell me so you'll have to be proactive and go back to him/her. Then depending on whether you want to either sell vehicle and get a check or put the offer as a down payment toward a new carmax vehicle, you will be waiting yet again. Make sure you go there on a full stomach cause you will be there at least 1 hour but realistically more than 2 hours and bring your patience too. Walk-ins are accepted but making an appointment beforehand is even better.

First time buying at CarMax, and I’m a satisfied customer. Mr. Graves made the experience worthwhile. There were delays because of repairs needed but he was very knowledgeable, responsive, and helpful throughout the process. Much better experience than the dealership.

My company was hired to transport $150,000 worth of vehicle for this store in jackson Mississippi neither the broker that CarMax hired they don't want pay us for the service we rendered/ they are scammers be aware

Bought my Pre-owned 2020 RAV4 AWD LE here. Ordered from Dallas Texas, arrived in 1 day. Been cruising in it since 2020, no issues! Easy to use the app and had a normal human helping close out the deal.

My salesperson Zee was very nice and helpful and made sure all my concerns was addressed. She knew the answer to every question, and I had a lot. This was my first time financing a vehicle and CarMax made sure all my issues with the vehicle were fixed. EVERYTHING, they gave me new tires, replaced the gear shift plate, replaced the rotors and breaks, and a few other things, EVERYTHING. The vehicle was extra clean inside. I will definitely recommend anyone to them that needs a vehicle.

If you are searching for a new vehicle and you live in the Mississippi area, look up Carmax Jackson Ms location. Frank in sales did an amazing job helping me complete the online process making the express pickup phenomenal. It only took him a couple of hours to verify and approve all necessary documents and pass it along to the transactions department and only 30 minutes inside the store for pickup during their most busy time. So far I give Jackson Ms store all thumbs up. Thanks for making my purchase stress and pain FREE!!!

The online process was flawless, it wasn't until everything was supposedly clear and ready for pickup, which didn't go as well. We got it all cleared up within an hour and we got the keys. I LOVE this car, I've wanted a Subaru Outback for years. But less than 30 days later I started hearing something from the front driver wheel area. I took it to Subaru to get an oil change because I just wanted to know the oil was good and also had them check out that sound I was hearing. I was also hearing a roaring noise from the back that they also checked out. Well, come to find out that it needs both front strut assemblies and sway bar link along with also needing both rear wheel hubs replaced. Subaru quoted $3,677 worth of work. I went directly to CarMax to schedule service because we are still within our 90 days/4,000 mile warranty. I made an appt to bring it in next week. I'll update my review with whether or not they do me right.

Great place with great people. If you have issues, it is because you have unreasonable expectations (which seem to be the norm in this city) can't expect low payments if you have lousy credit.

DO NOT GO HERE THEY TRIED TO SELL US TWO HONDAS WITH BAD ROTORS ON THEM THEN STOPPED OUR TRANSFER ON OTHER CARS FROM ANOTHER LOCATION. IF ONE SALES PERSON DID US WRONG THE MANAGER SHOULD HAVE STEPPED IN TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT. THE SALESMAN JAMES STATED THEY SELL PEOPLE BAD CARS. DONT GO TO CARMAX IN JACKSON. CLOWNS.
