If I could leave a zero I would. Our Boxer Harley is having to be treated for constipation and dehydration after a 4 night stay with them. I received no phone calls to notify us there was a problem. This problem did not happen within the little while before we picked him up. Either no one noticed or didn’t care. DO NOT Take you animals here if you value them. Our last visit our German Shepard Rosie came home with sores all up and down her front legs. I chalked this up to her not being used to being kenneled and scratch to get out. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and tried them again. What happened this time is unacceptable!!!

My experience was a great one. I've never boarded a dog before, and I was a little nervous. They answer my many questions politely. Affordable price. Convenient that the clinic is next door, so my dog was able to get vaccinated at the time of stay. Also one of the only kennels in the area that answers the phone.

They left my dog with tufts of hair sporadically over his whole body. But the worse part was he has several clipper cuts into his skin. This us unforgivable. I will never subject him to their unskilled ways again!

Friendly people but very expensive! My cat's food increased in price by $10 since the last time I came in. Won't be able to shop here anymore!

MOST HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I dropped my dog off at 8:00 am, the lady told me she SHOULD be ready by 3:00 pm because they had a lot of dogs in front of mine. 4:00 pm rolls around and I'm like dang my dog not ready yet. Silly me was expecting a phone call to let me know my dog was ready. I mean I would think that's what a professional busy would do, Petsmart does. So right when I'm about to call I get a phone call from them at 4:40 pm telling me my dog is ready and they close at 5:00 pm. WOW!! That only gives me 20 minutes to make it to my dog whom has never been without me and is like a child to me because I have no children. It's storming raining and I could hardly see where I was going but I'm speeding trying to get there on time. I called them 3 times to let them know I was close and I have to have my dog and they had no heart. They told me that if I make it there before they leave then I could get my dog, if not I would have to wait until Monday. You guys, I literally made it to the place at 5:03 pm and the lights were off and doors were locked. Now u mean to tell me these people were that low down that they couldn't even wait 5 minutes so I can get my dog? I got there at 5:03 pm, so that means that they probably left before 5:00 pm because it takes more that 3 minutes to close down a business. My guess is they're probably trying to get over so they can charge boarding fees on top of the grooming fees. I was heart broken and in tears and all you pet lovers know what it feels like to have a pet, they're just like family. I will NEVER go back to Briarwood Grooming in Jackson Ms again. I'll just stick with a more professional company that will have the common since to call and let me know my dog is ready and enough compassion for a dog and it's owner to know sometimes things happen and it's perfectly fine to not be a butt whole and leave a pet owner standing in an empty parking lot with rain falling on her head looking inside a glass window outside of a locked door wondering is her dog ok because she's never been away from her owner not even one night. Instead have a heart and wait at least 5 or 10 minutes expecially when the pet owner calls and say their on the way.

Outrageous pricing! They charge $14 per day per dog assuming one dog per kennel. They charge you for a full day even if your dog is boarded for one minute. Our example: We dropped the dogs off on a Wednesday at 4:45pm (right before the kennel closes) and picked them up on Monday as soon as they opened (because they are not open on Sundays). We were charged for 6 full days and two dogs ($168 total), even though they shared one kennel and were there for 4 days and 13 hours. Also, we made it very clear that the dogs are only 9 weeks old, so they need a lot of attention and playtime. The response from the staff was "We let them out from time to time when we can." Absurd. We will not be back again!

Pet stores who have dogs/ cats for sale get them from puppy mills. For those of you who do not know what these are, I encourage you to go online and see for yourself the horrendous conditions in which these poor animals are forced to live. I normally do not frequent pet stores that sell pets, but I went into this one once (not knowing that they had a puppy for sale). This sweet little dog was in an AQUARIUM!!! It was very small and he had only one toy. When I walked up to it, he, of course, got so excited his entire body jiggled and he jumped and scratched on the glass. I asked if I might pick him up. I was told by the sales clerk that they discourage customers from handling the puppies unless they are seriously considering buying one! Apparantly this poor little guy spends all his days in a small glass enclosure w/ no human contact or stimulation. At night he is put in a small cage in the back of the store. I marched right out of there and will never be back! Please, please do not support this business! Adopt from the pound or a shelter. If you must have a full-bred dog, purchase from a responsible breeder! No responsible breeder sells their puppies from a pet store. No matter what the pet stores tell you, all of the dogs come from a puppy mill. I am not into PETA or anything.....they are a little too radical for my taste....so this review is not the ravings of an extremist. I am just an informed pet owner. Thank you for taking the time to read this b/f making the decision on whether to shop here. FYI: I wanted to give this business "0" stars, but I was forced to click on at least one b/f my review could be submitted.
