I used to like this store pretty good but lately it seems dirty and they never seem to have enough people working. The people who are working or working at a snails pace with seemingly no concern about how quickly you are checked out. it's not uncommon to find moisture absorbent packs in front of the coolers. Guess they have trouble with their coolers leaking.

Maybe a little more expensive than Walmart but Winn Dixie has real cashiers and a lot less busy.

My favorite grocery store in Hattiesburg. Always clean and well stocked. Prices almost comparable to Walmart. For the convenience of NOT having to go to Walmart...priceless!

Refused to fill a valid prescription. Said they were being policed. Even when I had filled there many times.

I get my meds filled here and I was late by about 6 min after they closed but the pharmacist was very nice and helped me out because one of them was for my husbands cholesterol and he really needs it. Plus their meet deals are hard to beat.

Super impressed with how the store actually was and the overall layout compared to the one in my hometown. People were friendly too.

Management doesn't care except for when they have to or when it otherwise affects their bonuses (which they will talk proudly about), if it affects how they are viewed, or if they get in trouble for overall being a bad manager (a hireling) instead of a real leader who wants to make positive and real, lasting change. Everybody rushes to dress the store up nice whenever the district manager comes along, and then he comes along illusioned as to what's really happening or otherwise doesn't care, either. Management follows him around, lying, and covering for themselves the entire time. When the district manager leaves, the normal management high fives themselves, go home, and then get annoyed when they have to run the store, and the store goes back to looking like it survived a war in Afghanistan. The HR person came along to ask why is everyone quitting. We are talked down to, smarted off towards, we are told the customers and what's on the sales floor doesn't matter when we have goals brought down to us from upper management, which are given to us, because results in various aspects end up being so poor due to lack of labor and poor management in the first place. When a closing manager doesn't check behind workers, somehow it's everyone else's faults the next day. We are told what to say, how to act, how to be, and will be told to our faces that they do not care to hear our whining or what we have to say about our problems. When they feel forced to listen, it's still a waste of time, because the conversation is always misdirected and you're misled so as to cover up an issue. People don't care in this place, unless they are told to, and even then, it's in a mechanical and fake way. None of them aspire to make real and lasting change. They only want the store to run successfully on paper and via intranet, so they can bring home a fat paycheck, get raises, and have an easy life. We are understaffed across the entire store, and even when we have some extra help come, they are micromanaged into doing very select and specific things for short periods of time, so the overall picture gets ignored again until we are told that we are failing, because the overall picture is terrible all over again. I could go on. Seemingly everyone has been quitting, and people who can change this are none the wiser as to how there could ever be a problem in the first place. "There is nothing wrong here at all." How's that for relatability? The word gaslight exists for a reason, and I suspect most upper management is gaslit everyday, brainwashed, or they just simply don't know any better and therefore by any moral measure unfit to hold their positions. On paper, I'm sure they are excellent!

Winn Dixie keeps their shelves stocked and I try to get to the store when they have a sale on items I buy. I may have to look into delivery. I am sad about their is only one Winn Dixie in town and I wish they had self checkout so I am not standing in a long line.
