It's Walmart. No cashiers so DIY. Some stuff is out of stock. Hardest parking lot to get in and out of in Hattiesburg and the aisles are filled with curbside pickup shoppers. Sometimes it's not worth it but usually you can get TP, whole house water filters, mulch and an oil change at the same place (if they are all in stock).

It's messy and disorganized at times. They're out of stock lots of times. And I've even seen expired meat and sunblock being sold. Also rotting fruits with flies for sale. Needs new management.

Curbside pickup is absolutely HORRIBLE! Waiting over an hour for a pickup is absurd and management should be ashamed allowing operations to run this way. I can go in, pick my order, bag it , cook and eat it and still wouldn’t have my order out . Absolutely ridiculous.

If you are a fellow grocery pick up customer, whatever you do, do *not* schedule it on a weekend night. Your order will likely suffer a significant delay. If you find yourself in a similar predicament, you'll have better luck getting help from online chat support than the management on site. The best that customer support can do in that scenario is cancel your order and help you place another one to be picked up at a later time. It may be worth mentioning that this can potentially complicate finances for many people; the cancellation (or refund) may take up to 10 business days to be deposited back into their account. Good luck.

Well I don't visit this place to much now. Price is ridiculous. On a couple of cashier's available. It's crazy how Walmart continues to raises prices and want you to help them out on their profits by checking your oneself out. Crazy crazy crazy. It would be a deal if they would at least give you a percentage of your purchase. But nope they uses dump a.. folks to check their self out making a bigger profit cutting out jobs. Not me. I will continue to use grocery depot r corner market where they appreciates their customers....

Always busy but they keep it clean and organized. People in Mississippi must not like hot food. No good hot sauce. No hot pickles. No habanero.

Sat here for 45 minutes for them to tell me they lost my pickup order and I have to call and cancel. The 800 number was a bigger nightmare than them losing the order. So here I am with no order and no refund!Sam Walton grew Wal Mart on a single factor, customer service. That has died with him.Update: I guess I'm a sucker. I Literally sat here for another hour waiting on a pickup. I'm leaving with no pickup.Never again!! Just avoid this store

This location is FILTHY, understocked, and has too many employees unwilling to provide assistance. To those who appreciate their job and show it, thank you. I am certain there are some excellent people at this store, but unfortunately, I've only encountered two.

My wife has been waiting over one hour for our Walmart pickup order. It said it was ready at 3pm, and it's now 4:07pm. My wife is pregnant and our 18 month old has been screaming for the last 30 minutes, my daughter and grandmother are waiting at my house to let them in but I am out of town and she is still waiting on this pickup order. She states that she's seen multiple people walk inside and come out with grocery carts full of items they've shopped for since she parked. I will never order a walmart pickup order for the Hwy 98 walmart again after this. EDIT******I have called the number for Hwy 98 walmart five times since I submitted this review. I haven't been able to get anyone on theph one in the online oickup order dept, and I cant even reach the operator. I will go to Target from now on. Never had any issues like this from Target. She a should have just went inside and got what we needed but our 18 month old acts so bad in whenever we take her grocery shopping that we figured this would be a better alternative. Wrong!!!!!!! It's now 4:31pm and she hasn't got her order so she's driving off. Thanks alot Walmart on Hwy 98 in Hattiesburg.

Dont attempt to do an online pickup order from this location. I waited over an hour for just a $60 order and never received it. I called the pick-up number six times before getting someone on the phone and they said there was still seven people in line ahead of me and they did not know how to cancel the order. I was told I had to cancel through the app but the person I spoke with over the app insisted that my order had already been picked up and it couldn't be cancelled. Also do not bother coming here for cosmetics or anything else that they keep locked up because no one will open it for you regardless of how many associates you talk to.

I wanted to say I had a great experience the other day when I came into Walmart. Amanda checked me out and also helped me find some pellets I needed for my grill. She had a very friendly personality. It was a breath of fresh air to have her check me out.

This Walmart is never stocked. I thought it was a supply issue related to 2020 pandemic but it’s 2023, and when I visit other Walmarts, I am amazed that their shelves are full. Today, I attempted to do a pickup order. All 24 pickup spots were full. People were circling like vultures just to get a spot. Apparently, no one was working, bc the only number I could get to pick up was the pharmacy. I did not see a single employee during the 40 minutes I waited. What I did see is over 13 people leave without their pickup order. From a business perspective, it would seem that Walmart would want to avoid this since they paid their employees to pick orders that were then canceled. When I did get a manager on the line, she was snarky and acted like this was not her problem. She told me I could feel free to cancel my order and leave. This was after I waited 40 minutes with a trunk full of groceries from the neighboring Sam’s in the heat.
