Let me start off with saying that the staff was amazing. We have moved here from Texas and an avian vet is very hard to find. My macaw was past due with his nail trim because he was extremely traumatized by our move and I wasn't able to handle him. After I was able to start handling him against was time for and a vet visitant after a google search I found this office and made my appointment. When the Dr came in the room he told me he had to gas my macaw to handle him. He has never had to be gasses in the 14 years this bird has been alive. It is not healthy or recommended if not medically necessary. So I refused and was told he would not do anything . Simon was not eating properly and his nails were so sharp they were like razors so I really had not choice but to let it happen since there wasn't another avian vet for hours that I was aware of. He said he was afraid to handle them and didn't even have the staff that was educated in the handing of birds! THIS IS AN AVIAN VETERANARIAN HOSPITAL! My bird was very healthy and got his nails done and I was out of there. I can not believe that he could even practice medicine on a species he is afraid of and doesn't even have the proper training for his technicians to treat them. If I can not find another vet before he needs this again, I will travel 6 1/2 hours to my old vet in Texas!! This vet should stick to animals he is not afraid of! I even asked him about his beak, and before I could fully explain about Simons trauma, he went off telling me he would not trim the beak of a healthy bird and then me tell other vets to make him look like a, and I quote, "**** a**** Buddy you did that all on your own! After speaking to people in a Macaw group I belong to another woman came forward with an ever worse story that me! This man needs his exotic license taken away!

Today is our first time using this place and I have all good things to say! The staff was super friendly, attentive & caring. We lost our bunny today and I couldn’t have asked for better care there for us and our beloved pet. The staff worked quickly and did everything they could to save our bunny. Thanks so much!!!

2 weeks into a month long board and I can't ask for better care for my cats and dogs. All health issues known about at the beginning have been treated. Excellent communication regarding the health of my animals. 2 more weeks and I get to take them to their new home.

The team and staff at Town and Country go above and beyond and truly care about your pet’s well being. They aren’t out to just make a dollar and price gouge you for unnecessary treatments. Dr. Ricks and crew have been there for my puppy in critical situations a few times, and there is nobody else that I would rather have to depend on besides them. If you are looking for a veterinarian staff to trust for your pet needs, look no further. Their unbelievable care and knowledge will put you at ease.

I refuse to go anywhere else. Dr. Starling has been so helpful and understanding during some of the ups and downs with my fur babies. I ask a lot of questions and get super nervous about them, but her bedside manner is perfect and she takes all the time to answer my concerns thoroughly.

I just can’t say enough good things about all the doctors and staff here. My dog Jack had to go to the vet so many times throughout his life that we never really had just one doctor. We at some point used them all because usually we were having to squeeze in an appointment whenever they would take us and let me just say, they always found a way to make time for our dog. It may seem silly that we took our new baby guinea pig to the vet, but the Dr. was very professional and caring. Today we had a recheck and he took such amazing care of our guinea pigs! He obviously loves his job and truly cares for all animals, big and small! I have never had a bad experience and would highly recommend this hospital to anyone! Thanks for being such an amazing and welcoming place for families in Hattiesburg!

You cannot find a better veterinary facility and more dedicated staff than the people at T&C. We have tried several in the area, and we quit looking when we saw the skill, care, and compassion exhibited at this clinic. They will let you know your care options and work for the best outcome for your beloved pet family members.

Dr. Starling and the entire staff were so compassionate and careful with my two cats, and were very knowledgable and informative with instructions and in answering all my questions. The hospital was able to fit my appointment in on very short notice to see my sick pet. This is by far the best vet's office I've visited, and I will definitely continue to bring my pets here and will gladly recommend them to anyone who wants a vet staff that is caring and empathetic toward their patients.
