Dr Christine Gibson, although retired, is the very best Vet I've ever known. She literally saved my fur babie 'Willie' when there was little hope for his recovery. It's very assuring that the Drs at the Pet Hospital on Gandy have two nieces of Dr Gibson. I'm sure that they were mentored by Dr Gibson who is THE BEST. One of my Italian Greyhounds will be having surgery next week and I am 100% confident that the surgery will have a good outcome.

We absolutely love they way they are when they meet Hank. So excited every time. They truly care. Worth the 35 minute drive to not have to deal with our local veteran's employees.

The Pet Clinic (Parkway) 2010 Evelyn Gandy Parkway, Hattiesburg, MS We brought our two fur babies there this past July, 2024, we waited for over an hour to be seen. We asked what was taking so long and they told us that they had to get their records from the other vet clinics before our babies were seen. We had given them the names of their previous vet clinics before we got there so the vet would have that information?? We didn’t understand what the hold up was and continued to wait for over an hour and a half! We thought we would all freeze before the vet tech was available. Both of our small dogs had been seen several times before and we never had issues with them at the other vet clinics visits, but after the extremely long and cold wait period our babies got frightened and started getting difficult, at least one of our babies. We were able to get one of them seen by the vet and we were charged nearly $300. just to get a rabies vaccine, and two others plus her nails trimmed!! We were totally sticker shocked, plus we were told we’d have to drug our male PJ before the vet appointment and the day of the appointment before the vet would see him! Wow! He’d never had an issue before, but he had never had to wait at the vet clinic for that long either. We made an another appointment for him and again waited for over an hour for him to be seen and nails trimmed. While he was given his basic vaccines they had someone come speak to us on all these other vaccines and “treatments “ they “recommended”, we felt they were trying to up sell us to raise our bill! We had to get the heart worm tests for both so they would sell us the Flee, tick and heart worm meds for one month… which was $47.90 each! We told them they had been given heart worm, flee meds from Pet Meds online, but they had to verify they didn’t have heart worms and they didn’t… When trying to get them several months supply online the clinic didn’t get back to Pet Meds for weeks! Then after I called the clinic)several times) they first told me they hadn’t received the prescription request, then I was told (weeks later) the medication didn’t have PJ’s weight appropriate for the meds. They finally called me back and I weighed PJ at home (since we started them on Dr. Marty’s freeze dried food. Again we waited and waited. The clinic staff called us to tell us the medicine didn’t include the tick prevention! After a month of waiting we still hadn’t received any medication for our babies! I reordered the medication to include the tick treatment and again we waited for the clinic to respond… finally the order was placed, but the online vet pharmacy didn’t have it in stock! We’ll have to wait again to get their prescriptions! It’s supposed to ship September 20, 2024… two months after we took them to the vet clinic! It’s been very expensive and costly in more ways than one! We spent nearly $500.00 on one of our babies to get their rabies vaccine, Distemper and parvo vaccine and their nails trimmed and heart worm test… We’ve never been charged that much for the same things this clinic did for nearly $200.00 more than any previous clinics!!! And we’ve never waited so long at the clinic or to get our online prescriptions filled, even responded… We are definitely looking for a better solution for our fur babies… So long!

While taking my youngest daughter to school this morning, we witnessed an individual throw a baby kitten out the window and then swerve to try and run it cat over. Trying to do the right thing, I picked the cat up and took her to the veterinarian I use for my two animals at The Pet Hospital, 2010 Evelyn Gandy Pkwy, Hattiesburg, MS 39401. I explained everything to the office personnel about what had happened and asked if they could help this cat and was told yes by the staff. I made sure to let the staff know that this was not my cat, nor did I intend to take this cat home. I asked the office staff to give me a call and let me know if the cat was going to be ok, since I would not be back. Well, the veterinary called and told me that the cat was going to be ok but would most likely have to amputate its leg in the very near future. Of course, at this point, they go on to tell me what the total bill was. I was flabbergasted when they informed me. I asked why they told me they could help this animal, when they intended to bill me the entire time. The original total was around $280.00, which I informed them that I did not have that amount, and I would not be able to pay it. Of course, the next thing out of the receptionist was they would file abandonment charges against me for leaving my cat there and not returning to get the cat. I did go back to The Pet Hospital to pay for the cat and find her a home. I have been using this veterinary office since they first opened and roughly spend about $1,500 a year for the care of my animals here. Well, you have lost a very good customer and pet owner because of your ill intended nature when someone was trying to do the right thing. I did notice that they were very quick to post an ad on Facebook wanting donations for this animal, before I got back up there, telling a sad story about all they were doing to help this cat. Seems very apparent to me that money is the only motive this place has. Do not use this veterinary office at all cost.

Absolutely wonderful people. I haven’t ever been to a veterinarian by myself before, but they assured me I was in good hands and treated my kitten so well. They loved on her just as I would have. Thank y’all for easing my mind today- Dr. Sarah Schraeder and everyone else that talked to me and my billie. Will definitely be back!

We were new in town and chose Parkway based off the location and reviews. I was pleased with the cat exam rooms and one vet who took great care of my cat and helped with a referral to a specialist. However, that was overshadowed by the terrible "policy" they have requiring "senior" dogs to be seen twice a year for a routine exam AND their unwillingness to dispense heartworm medicine if you haven't had the second visit (even though the blood test was performed there)! Front desk person was rude and inflexible with me while I was trying to work out a solution on the heartworm meds and their policies. In the end, we got our records and moved on.

My dog was having problems with his back right leg. I called and they got me in the same day. 2 days later he got worse. Called that morning and got him in right away. Their staff is amazing. We are new to the area and were not sure which vet to use. I looked at reviews, this one had the best ones. Glad I chose this vet, both my pups will be going there.
