All you need to do is take a look at the disingenuous "copy/paste" response given by the management to these negative reviews. Do not stay here if you are a frequent user of the Hilton brand. It does not represent that chain well.

Room, lobby,hallways where gross and not well cared for. Refrigerator in lobby had melted food that had been refrozen. There was vomit on the floor in front of the elevators. I told the staff and he cleaned it up and threw the towel on the table in front of the elevator. Gross again won't be back .

The Hilton in Hattiesburg does NOT live up to the Hilton brand. The hotel was definitely 2 stars. The lobby and hallways are fine, but the rooms are dingy, outdated, small, and overall low-quality. The paint was coming off the wall and it took FOREVER for my shower to heat up. I took a cold shower the first night. We were in town for a wedding, and this was the host hotel. But it SEVERELY disappointed everyone. If it was half the price I don't think it would have been as bad but we paid a lot of money for cheap, low-budget rooms. If you need a room to rent out for a one-night stand or something of that sort sure, but if you want a NICE room book somewhere else.Rooms: low-quality

Some issues:1. Room service for dinner or breakfast - NO2. Self serve breakfast instead of made to order.3. Powdered eggs! REALLY?4. Decaf coffee is not offered.5. Bacon not offered6. Room 404 had chocolate spots and a six inch tear in the shear curtain.7. A one inch hole one bed's sheet.8. One, of the two, mirrored sliding closet doors was missing. REALLY?

The staff is friendly and professional and very welcoming. The rooms, however, are filthy and run down, carpet is stained and dirty. There's chocolate or blood on the curtains, there's only 1 sliding closet door, the cabinet for the mini fridge has a hole through it with splintered particle board spilling onto the floor, the ironing board is bent, The room is not up to Hilton standards. Do not stay here.

Hotel looks old, dirty carpet, expensive $15 bfast buffet which was not good. Bed was comfortable and good location.

On September 23, 2023 I was overcharged for the hotel from the beginning. I was charged $188.49 when the room was $130 online through a third party but $145 in person at the front desk. I should have only been charged around $160 after taxes with the $145 rate. A week later the charge on my credit card changed from $188.49 to $238.90. When I called to ask why, I was told that I was charged $75 for a pet fee (I did not have a pet). After finally getting through to the manager who never asked my name, confirmation number, the date that I stayed, or any identifying information at all, she told me that she had already spoke to me before (she hadn't) and that I had a dog in the room (I didn't) and that she had already told me the case was closed and no refund would be issued. Mind you, she spoke to me as if I were a dog when saying all that. I assured her that I do not own a dog and did not have one with me and welcomed her to check the cameras to which she told me that they didn't have cameras. I ended up having to open a case with corporate and they have done nothing but give me the run around for 2 months now. I have been told twice that I was getting a refund (the first time for $200 and the second time for $75 after opening a new case) and have never gotten a dime. They make me wait 3 business days each time I talk to them for them to do something but they never do anything. I was told that a refund was issued for $75 on November 7th and that if I didn't get it within 10 days to call my bank and ask them why. I called my bank after waiting 10 days and there is no refund pending at all from the hotel. I will NEVER stay in any Hilton again and do NOT recommend anyone to stay in this Hilton in particular. I am sure I am not the first person they have charged a bogus pet fee too and that I won't be the last. The manager was unprofessional, rude, and is likely the person behind the scam of charging pet fees to people without pets. I guess they think if they drag it out long enough, nobody will continue to fight for their money. Corporate has accomplished nothing and is a joke as far as I am concerned. I have filed a complaint with the BBB.

Room had clear wall repairs, there was wall damage and my shower rod was improperly installed/hanging down. Weird smell and general nursing home vibesStaff was very nice and welcoming - accommodated the best they could

Nothing worse than someone telling you are open until 10pm at the bar and they close whenever they want. The extra 30mins is pennys on the dollar. Terrible management of not knowing how basic math works. TNF is on and they close the bar…genius!

The first room I got didn’t have a working phone, fridge, tv or ac. I called and the associate that handled my call was friendly and switched me rooms. The second room didn’t have a working lock on the door or phone. I switched again. The last room didn’t have a working phone. I just dealt with it at that point. The carpets and walls were in need of an update. The people who worked there were nice and handled everything the best they could.

We were turned away at check-in, due to the room not being clean yet. Came back over an hour later and checked in to the dirtiest hotel room I've ever been in. Hair all over the bathroom floor, tub and sink. Toothpaste spit on the mirror, half used shampoo from the previous guests in the shower, already used kcup in the coffee pot. The outside and the lobby are extremely clean and well maintained. I wanted to lysol my entire body after leaving.

All but maybe two staff members during my stay were helpful and courteous. The manager was extremely rude and unwilling to help or provide simple answers. The room was subpar and nothing like advertised. The surfaces were dusty and I had to wipe down everything in the room upon arrival. My shower curtain was very worn and and torn causing the floor to get wet up after showering. The shower head was coming out of the wall. Half of the sheer curtain in the bed area was missing, so I had to safety pin it shut to get full privacy. One of the button switches on the bedside lamp was broken off so I was not able to use it at all. The fitness center was decent, but there were no supplies to disinfect after use.

I stayed at this hotel the night of 7/12/23 in Room 103. I am a frequent Hilton user with this being the third Hilton night for me that week. The room had an extremely unpleasant dank odor that smelled similar to mildew. In addition, the toilet had significant scratches in the toilet bowl and the “hot” water in the shower and sink was tepid at best. Finally, I was unable to connect to the Hilton Wi-Fi although I had no problem connecting to the Hilton property I stayed in the previous night. I discussed these issues with the person at the front desk. I was told that he would communicate this to the GM. I was not contacted while at the hotel and still have not been contacted. I had stayed at this property once before and did not have these problems. However, I will stay somewhere else when I am in this area in the future. As a Diamond member, I would have expected a little more attention to my concerns.

This was not the rating I originally intended to give this hotel. Although it was outdated and some of the amenities were not available, I did enjoy my stay until...Until I meet the GM under very unpleasant circumstances. I'm currently handling this with the hotel and won't go into details. However, I'll take the time to praise those who deserve it.Randy, the bartender/evening cook. If kiss the chef was a person, it would be him. Every dish we ordered was mouth-watering, delicious, and absolutely worth every dime.Patricia is the morning cook and let me tell you. Her breakfast brought so much comfort and was so delicious. We always got our mornings started off right because of this fantastic breakfast.Jasmine is the server, and she is polite and accommodating. She made us feel comfort and welcomed us every morning with a smile.Kemberly, the full-time night auditor is a wealth of information. She was always able to point us in the right direction. Very helpful and sweet.Melanie part-time auditor is nice and always made my night (because I work late shifts remotely) a breeze. She kept me up and helped keep me motivated.Ethan day shift is always polite and helpful. If he doesn't know the answer, he will search for the answer. He worked hard, and I could appreciate that.Aside from having to request housekeeping repeatedly and my first introduction to the GM. My overall stay was fair.
