Great selection found everything I needed. Most of the staff was friendly and professional. Except the lady on checkout. Spent the entire time whining and complaining about how many items I bought to the express lane. I had 12 things. Soured the entire experience and I was just trying to get back to the car cause my dad insisted on staying in there and he's not in the best of health currently.

I have shopped here nearly 20 years. Their staff is cheerful, helpful and knowledgeable, and the store stocks a wide variety of items. Their meat in particular is good. I buy all my meat here.

As a place of employment is doesn’t offer any progress or revision when things aren’t going well. There is a bit of racial tension and discrimination here as well. During a conversation with Mr. Davis he constantly referred to me as “girl”, I’m a black woman. Example from one of our actual conversations: “You’re getting smart with me girl?” During con if, cashier were made to stand outside for hours during the winter despite several attempts to ask for a heater, stand inside the door way or any help/change, to which Mr. Davis always replied to just send us home if we could not despite health risks and cruelty of having to do so.

Whomever is the bread baker NEED additional training. They keep burning the onions rolls. The onion rolls are supposed to be a beautiful golden brown or light color like they were the first time I purchased them.

Nice selection of almost everything you would need from a grocery store. Nicest in Hattiesburg I think

I bought these yesterday (Dec.2), but the flowers are already dying or dead. Corner Market is usually my go-to for anniversary and birthday arrangements, but this was truly a disappointment and an embarrassment. The bow wasn’t even tied around the vase.

I was a deli employee and I was lied on as well as disrespected by a fellow employee and my job was threatened by a manager who believed a known trouble maker until I approached the scene and we had a face to face meeting. The employee lied and said I called her the "b" word and after the meeting they acknowledged that she was lying and nothing was done about her lying. The GM said she would handle it and done nothing but told her to stay away from me. A few days later the deli manager delivered a container of icing to a black female employee with the "b" word on it and the GM said she would handle it but nothing was done about it. Later I was moved from the deli working 40 hours to stock and cut to 24 hours and told if I had any issues to discuss it with a manager and don't discuss it with other employees. I have never worked in an environment as chaotic and prejudice in my life of 50 years. I will never work there or shop there again!

Really nice place to shop. Clean, deli is great! They have a large selection of hot and cold meals available for on the go folks. They even have a salad bar and a spot to grab some fresh sliced/diced fruits and veggies.

I work for a locally owned food service business, and had an emergency needing a kind of disposable servingware for a 9 am order tomorrow, it's currently 7 pm. I called Corner Market and asked for a manager, who explained that was out of his area of specialty and asked to transfer me to the bakery. He was friendly and kind. The young lady, Autumn, who answered the phone went WAY above and beyond. I hate asking other people to do "special" favors, because they aren't required to. However I know it brings me joy to unexpectedly help someone in an "emergency " when I'm working, so it depends on who answers the phone. She went and hunted down the item i needed. Returned my phone call at my request because I wanted to call other places to check. Offered to text me pictures of the item when we hung up!!! Then offered to be the point person for my husband to ask for. Yes, all of these things may constitute "normal" customer service, but service is a dying art and I was so impressed with a young lady eager to help someone (specifically someone described as their competition!) at no personal gain other than satisfaction and praise. If I could give Autumn a raise, I would. Heck, we would have a pizza party for Autumn if it was up to me! Way to keep the art of service alive!I attached 2 of the 5 photos Autumn sent me from different angles because it's giving thorough.

September 2023 by Vandilyn Lewis
Today is Sunday September 10. Approximately 1 hour ago I was racial profiled at Corner Market on Hardy Street. This is what happened to me. I left home to go to the nearest market, which was CM on Hardy St. I was there really just thinking about life, putting things in my buggy, just making my visit comfortable and thinking, just strolling down each aisle. I was putting thing in my buggy too, must've been there 45 minutes , then I finally decided to just get a few things & I left my buggy in a random aisle as I strolled to check out. I showed my app coupon on my phone to the cashier... so I could get my free item ( pace picante sauce) , I wanted mild or medium...my cashier was T'Kayla. T'Kayla stated that she only had hot picante but she would ring it up and on my way out I grab the kind I wanted from another checkout. So I did. Now, as I was putting my medium picante sauce in my bag. A boy (CM worker I assumed) came in front of me & stated that it needed to be rung up and asked did I ring it up, he was saying this in a fake friendly condescending tone. He ( logan - I find out later is his name ) then asked me again & looked at me like I was stupid, and told me again it has to be rung up. I tell him it was rung up and my cashier told me I could get the kind I wanted. So, I got my bags to leave, when ignorant logan go over to T'Kayla to check to see if what I said was true. I realized, why did he ask me when he could have gone to her directly... now I am feeling harassed! So, I tell him, " I told you it was rung up!" I asked him, why did he ask me if he was gonna check with the cashier anyway!) This idiot proceeded to be even more disrespectful & condescending by telling me... well " People Lie".. he points his finger and raises his arm and tells me to leave the store now.... and to add insult to a situation that was escalating because of his stupidity.... he points at my cart and ask me if I wanted any of the other items left in my cart! Remember , in the beginning of this message I mentioned that I randomly left my buggy in the back of the store! Now, I proceed to ask him if he was watching / picking on me ! Why would he know that was my buggy and then taunting/ harassing me with " Do you want any of these items!" So, he was racially profiling me the entire time I was in store, then brought my cart to front to harass me! Then he loudly speaks to me and pointed to front door for me to leave, like I was a kid, I was trying to calm myself so I wouldn't slap the piss out of this boy, that I had him to call his manager. I also told him that I didn't want any of the products and he with a hateful smile told me and forcefully told me what cashier was open for my return.....at this time I knew my PTSD was triggered and I wanted to do something to this boy that I learned in the military..... it ain't nothing nice. But fortunately I got my PTSD somewhat contained and another manager(Austin) Came to me. I strongly asked Austin to take me to a room , I needed to get away from the boy logan , he had no ideal he opened up my PTSD.So, Mr. Austin was empathetic and professional in his dealings with how his fellow employee disrespected me and treated me. I informed Austin that I am a retired 30 year's military vet and I will not have any kid that still has baby milk on his breath to talk to me the way idiot boy logan did! Also, even if I was a homeless person, no one should've been treated and profiled the way I was. Austin tried to understand why the idiot boy logan asked me about my cart.... I again informed him that the only way the idiot boy logan knew I even had that cart is because he was watching me throughout the entire time I was in the store because I left my cart in the back of store and took the items I wanted out of the buggy when I went to checkout. Austin, apologized on behalf of the idiot boy logan and ask me to not hold what happened to me against shopping at CM again. I told him I will never say what I will not do, but it w

Just getting a chance to review this delightful, innovative, gem located in Hattiesburg, Ms, after seeing an ad on Roku. My sister and I evacuated, for a hurricane we had a few years ago and we landed in Hattiesburg, Ms. We happened upon The Corner Market while visiting her Alma Mater, USM. I was absolutely elated! I have Celiac's Disease and the Corner Market is like Ralph's in CA and Rouses in New Orleans to name those few places that have foods that a Celiac needs and they're not so damned expensive! Corner Market is well stocked, innovative and pleasant. I hope they continue to thrive. I found everything I needed to survive plus some new foods!!!!
