Shopping at Claire's in Hattiesburg had definitely gone downhill in the recent years. The best move they've made is them changing to new management. With the holiday season fast approaching and parents looking for cute gifts for their children, I do believe it's worth giving the store another try. The new manager, Amber, has been working very hard to turn this store back into a positive light and it shows. I will be returning to shop again soon.

This store's only redeeming grace is its new manager, Amber. I had been in Claire's early in the week and unknowingly bought some defective items and had been upcharged by $2 ea on 2 pair of earrings (price listed was $7.99, I was charged $9.99). When I got to Claire's to return/exchange the defective items, I was told I could not return a $15 earring (because this particular earring goes in the ear, unlike the other earrings??), or a $14 unopened earring of the same variety. The saleslady on my trip previous had mentioned no such policy. This particular $15 earring in question would not open wide enough to fit in my ear -- defective. Claire's unwillingness to take back an expensive and defective earring was strike 1 to running me off forever. Then, I asked to have the price corrected on the two upcharged earrings (supposedly earning me back $4) and to exchange earrings that were badly tarnished. The price correction and the exchange (for a product of equal value) would have cost me nearly $4, because, according to corporate, "You can't return things for free." Strikes two and three. I was ready to walk out and write scathing review after scathing review until new manager Amber at Hattiesburg, MS, offered to put her new position on the line to get me a gift card for the "unreturnable" jewelry and the upcharged amount. She, in so many other ways as well. offered the best customer service I have ever experienced at a Claire's store and she is the only reason I will ever buy from Claire's again. Claire's stores, please take cues from Amber -- clearly the only person in your business who wants customers to return.

Today I had a horrible experience at this Claire’s. First I had to show Gabby proof that my two month old had her vaccines which was no problem so I did and she questioned me as if I wasn’t being truthful so I read all the vaccines out loud to her so she could understand better. Then Gabby tried to make me buy the rapid solution and didn’t offer the standard solution. I told her the standard solution. She placed the dots on my baby ear and the dots were fine. I used to pierced ears at Claire’s so I know that the dots are always bigger so you have to pierce in the center of the dots. Well on my baby right ear she pierced it too high on her earlobe. She told me I would have to buy another kit for her to redo them as if she wasn’t the one who messed up my baby ear. Then she said I would have to wait 6 weeks for her piercing to close before they could redo it. She was rude and didn’t acknowledge the fact that she messed up my 2 month old baby ear! I’m so upset and will never return here. Her name is GABBY and please don’t let her pierced your ears!!!

got my ears pierced a few years ago and they kept getting infected... my ears still occasionally flare up when i leave earrings in for too long. also they use a gun which is really bad for your ears and can shatter cartilage!! you’re better off going to a real shop and getting pierced with a needle by a professional

I have a lot of things about Claire’s that I don’t like but #1 is that the stuff you sell is overpriced and doesn’t work most of the time. #2 you need to find a person who can actually pierce your ear without messing you ear up so bad a few years ago when I was around six I got my ears pierced there and it was so messed up I had to let them grow in Ik that’s not really your fault because it was like five years ago but still. Unfortunately scene I’m only 12 I can’t get it done at a tattoo shop but I just want to to find someone who is experienced in pieceing a persons ear without haveing difficulty’s
