“An iconic used bookstore in the historic avenues. I have honestly never not found what I'm looking for here. I have acquired a collection of local authors, some signed. You can trade your old books and get credit towards books. Books are priced 50 percent off the original price or lower. Clipped corner books are .25 cents. This has been my favorite place in Hattiesburg since I was a teenager. I'm an avid reader so finding books at an affordable price is a must. The owner is as sweet as she can be, I'm 56 years old now and it really does my heart good to still be able to go in this quaint little store, ease to the back and just sit on the floor perusing the many books available just like I did as a kid. Over the years places change but this one has stayed the same. Everytime I visit,I can be a kid again and that is priceless. Hopefully you will visit the bookrack at the end of 13th ave. The little yellow house. You won't regret it.”

“I remember when I used to have more time, was unstressed and unbothered. I used to browse the aisles of books for hours. Have a cup of coffee, scone or muffin and just BE (if you know what I mean) Life rarely offers me an opportunity to go anymore, but for those that do.. If they don’t have what you are looking for they will order it. My daughter enjoys it as well. The atmosphere is inviting, a little slice of heaven for a bookworm!”

“It was amazing the Barnes and Noble book store at my Alma mater. I didn't have enough time to browse like I wanted on game day, but I loved it. Got some great stuff, and it was so nice being back there. ?”

“Absolutely phenomenal staff! Visited for the first time this past fall, can’t say enough about how friendly everyone was and how helpful they were. Great selection with fantastic prices - was even able to get tickets to a football game while there. Will definitely be visiting again during our next trip to Mississippi from Montana this spring ❤️”

“They have a small but wonderful selection of books. You can shop the Wildflower; an area where you can purchase hand made gifts from local artist. And last but not least is The Wheel in the Window. A unique area where pottery is hand built or thrown on the wheel. Pottery can be purchased there or you can make your own. Classes are available. There is an area that children are able to paint their own pottery. Have a pottery painting birthday party for your child. It's just a unique shop with a great atmosphere. Give it a try.”
