So happy I chose this hotel, the room was clean, bed super comfy & the gentleman that checked me in amazing, I was able to get an early am check-in which I was very thankful for as I was traveling through the night & exhausted. He even made sure to give me a room on the 1st floor near the exit so I can easily take my dog out when he needs to go out without me even asking. Great place, price & service!

Thank you Gene, Christina, and Felicia for showing great hospitality to my family and I.I visited home to host my Dad's 80th birthday dinner, and booked several rooms for my family and siblings.Mr. Gene kindness and consideration made my family and I feel welcomed and comfortable with our stay. The entire establishment was clean, accommodating, and professional.However, our first experience via phone was horrible customer service and we had decided we would no longer stay there when visiting home.All of that changed, when we meet the fantastic trio (Gene, Christina, and Felicia). As long as they are there to book, greet, and handle my business, we will reside at AVID.We bragged about the fantastic trio so much, family that stayed at other establishments will be switching to AVID❤️Avid from one business owner ro another, take care of the employers on the front line because they determine the success of your business.We were considering to cancel our reservations due to quoting us different prices and not consistent with communication. Thanks to Mr. Gene's professionalism and utilizing his damage control skills, we decided to stay and I'm glad we did!!Avid, Gene, Christina, and FeliciaThank you for making our stay a home away from home ? ❤️

As expected, rooms are small but it was clean. AC worked well. Breakfast was good and coffee was better than expected. Overall, I liked it.

I needed a place to stay for a couple of nights when I was traveling to Alabama recently and the college town of Hattiesburg seemed like a good place for a stopover. Looking at the available options, I decided on a visit to the Avid Hotel Hattiesburg.Clean and inviting, this hotel has a look and feel that speaks newness, and I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that it was built only a short time ago. The check in and check out are efficient and I like the colorful lobby area that welcomes you when you arrive. There is nothing here that speak luxury, but there is plenty that speaks comfort, and that is what matters.With the rooms, they were comfortable and clean. There was a slight issue with noise from adjacent rooms. When in the bathroom, you could easily hear people talking in the room next door. Other than that, it was a pleasant place to sleep. And I was very impressed at the ability of the shade to completely block any light from coming through the window. This makes it very easy to sleep. I noticed that they do not change your sheets very frequently, so don’t be surprised if you leave and then go back to your room later in the day and find your bed in the same condition as before.There are not a ton of amenities at Avid Hotel Hattiesburg, but there is an exercise room and I like the free morning breakfast, which includes hot items and cold items. When I consider everything, Avid Hotel Hattiesburg met my expectations, and it’s a good hotel choice for a reasonable price.

Needed a quick place to rest on the way to the coast. The rooms were small but very clean and had a big tv and spaces for everything- efficiently designed. Bathroom was nice and clean. The staff was very friendly- from the housekeeping to the breakfast attendant every one told us to have a great day and helped us.

This hotel was excellent in every way. The service was great, the hotel was clean, and the breakfast was great with plentiful options. Overall, I had such a positive stay that I can confidently say I will be visiting this hotel again in the future. Highly recommended!

Trust me, you will not be disappointed. Staff (Gene and Felicia) have given our group top notch service. We had to switch hotels last minute due to our original hotel being way below anyone’s expectations. This hotel has been very prompt to get our 22 rooms reserved and ready. Felicia and Gene were there to greet our families upon arrival. Each room had a small treat bag for the kids and they have made us feel extremely welcome. Great job and Thank You!!

Surprisingly great rates and super clean and nice hotel. Considering every other hotel in the area was close to $200 a night, this was only $140. The staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast was simple but plentiful. Bed were comfy, bathroom clean. Plenty of towels. They even have an option to get ice for your cooler. This was a great experience all around. We stay in a lot of hotels, and we will definitely be back when traveling through!

The area is not very walkable around the hotel, and rooms are minimalist, but all the important stuff is right. Clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Hospitable staff. Good coffee is available 24/7. No complaints. I have had a few clients stay here in the last few months and will do so again in the future. Keep up the good work.Rooms: Minimalist design but everything I expect in a business traveler hotel is there. Very clean.Nearby activities: Close to USM, movie theater and Mugshota grill and bar is across the street and worth checking out.Walkability: Only thing I can think of in walking distance is Mugshots grill or Movie theater if you don't mind a 5 minute walk across a parking lot.Food & drinks: Coffee is good. Have heard breakfast options are pretty good from my clients that stayed here. Lots of snacks available for purchase.

The hotel was not clean. It had what was either dirt or rodent droppings on the floor and was out of soap. Also towels were stained. It took a while to get the issue resolved but when we finally got to the manager he was very professional and made sure we didn't leave as disgusted as we had been earlier in the day and the night before. We left a day earlier than intended because we could not stay in those conditions.

Stayed here for 3 nights to go to a wedding and I had a service dog with me. Their policy states it's service dog friendly! Let me tell you the small little white girl was mad and got an art after I told her I had my service dog with me. Minus that the remote to the tv was dead , no hotel cleaning service was done the whole 4 days I stayed there Asked for toilet paper and never received any.The biggest problem was the room was sooo small you literally had to jump on the bed to get to the other side where you basically had to stand straight up just fitThis is probably one of the worst hotels I've stayed at
