Gave me a fake $100 bill and lied to me and said they didn`t. They got rude with me. I work hard for my money and they stole from me. I`m really upset. If they decide to fix their mistake, I will remove this review. If not it will stay here.

I will never conduct business with any bank again, after using credit unions. Banks charge excessive fees, whereas, credit unions do not. Also, credit unions will actually help you to raise your credit scores, whereas, banks couldn't care less. No more banks for me!

PROS: - The ability to take care of banking at SOME Walmart stores is somewhat convenient. CONS: - There never seem to be enough staff at this Woodforest National Bank inside Walmart on Hwy 49 in Gulfport, MS. - When making deposits for payroll checks that exceed an unknown dollar amount (to the customer) is never easy. This requires a Manager's authorization. When no Manager is working this requires tellers to call to get the authorization to deposit the payroll check. This happens even if you've had an account for years & come in biweekly to make the SAME EXACT DEPOSIT FROM THE SAME EXACT EMPLOYER. - There is always a long waiting time at this Branch. - Lines of customers are usually well into the actual Walmart store due to lack of staff, limited space of the Bank itself & slow Bank Tellers. General Issues of Woodforest National Bank NOT limited to the Gulfport Branch on Hwy 49: - There are not enough branches of Woodforest National Banks anywhere. There is ONE Branch in the enire county! There are so many Walmart stores in this County. Unless you live smack dab in the middle of the county you have to drive through terrible traffic to get to the only one in the County. - There is a very nice Walmart in Pass Christian, MS that would be perfectly spaced out for an additional Branch. Local residents must drive to either the neighboring county's Walmart OR fight an area with heavy traffic to get to the Gulfport Branch. - ATM machines - where are they? Unless you're inside Walmart there are NO Woodforest ATM anywhere in my area. I see all sorts of Banks & Credit Unions who have ATM machines scattered about for convenience to their customers. - There is even a local Credit Union ATM located at the Walmart gas pump area! Why not place a Woodforest ATM here?! - The Mobile banking app is TERRIBLE. It practically takes an act of Congress to deposit a check using the app. This was a regular issue BEFORE I switched to a new phone. - Once I switched to a NEW phone this brought on a whole new set of major probems with the Mobile app. - I had the Woodforest app on my old phone & later purchased a new phone. I CANNOT get back into the app on my new phone. I can download the app. I can sign in using my password. I CANNOT see anything on the app. - I am able to use ANY authorization app (which generates a timed random code to verify your account on a device). I've tried every authorization code generator that exists. Even when I enter the CORRECT authorization code Woodforest will not allow me to log in my Banking app at all. I've attempted this on every Authorization App ever created in the history of time, to authorize the Woodforest Mobile Banking App on my new device. The app will not accept any code. This makes it IMPOSSIBLE to use the Mobile Banking for ANY banking. I cannot check my balance, see funds available, check to see pending transactions, etc. The app is rendered absolutely useless the moment you switch phones. This requires I keep my old phone close (using wifi) in order to keep up with my banking. This is the worst issue I've ever encountered with a Mobile Banking app. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! When my children have each become old enough to open their own bank accounts I've sent them to a Credit Union that has many more branches/ATMs for convenience (including the ATM outside the Walmart gas pump area). Their Mobile Banking Apps work flawlessly when they switch phones. They are able to easily make deposits using their Mobile Apps. There you have it! Just my 2 cents from a long time customer of Woodforest who is about to close my account after years of being a loyal customer. I don't write reviews for fun. I write reviews because I depend on reading reviews about businesses, products & services PRIOR to making any purchase, subscribing to any service & most importantly before I entrust my hard earned money to ANY business. If you are searching for a bank I strongly suggest looking elsewhere. You will thank me later!
