Was hit by a lady in a friend's neighborhood in my right back passenger door this past October, a week after my mother's death, which caused a dent about the size of a cantaloupe and a crack in my windshield over a foot long.when I got back in the car after the police left, I noticed that the airbag light on my dashboard was on.I took the car to an auto body shop to be repaired.after that, I was told that State Farm is going to assume responsibility for the accident. It took the claim adjuster a week to go and inspect the damage. Another State Farm agent then directed me to a rental car company that put my wife and I in a car that would eventually break down and leave my wife stranded 45 miles from home.Had to take off from work on the busiest day of the week to get another car.So another week goes by until I eventually was contacted by the auto body shop saying that State Farm has decided that the airbag light was not because of the accident because it was reading from under the steering wheel and that they will not be paying for it to be repaired. THIS LIGHT WAS NEVER ON BEFORE THE ACCIDENT.So now State Farm is going to give me my car back partially repaired and could put my family in danger if the airbag decides it's either going to pop out while driving, or just not deploy at all when needed. My driving record is impeccable. Never been pulled over, never gotten a ticket, and until now, never been in an accident.I know for a fact that the airbag light wasn't on before the accident and my driving record backs that up. They also declined to replace my windshield for whatever reason.Goes to show that State Farm is willing to put a family back into a partially repaired dangerous situation, all over a couple hundred dollar part. Please, whoever reads this, keep your fingers crossed for me and my family that we are not harmed because of this incident.I wish anyone dealing with Snake Farm the best of luck.
