“I’m giving a 5 based on my experience today. Not past experiences. The past deserves a negative 2. Thank you Crystal. It was about 15 minutes to close. All of us pretty much walked in at the same time. Maybe 14 people. I was the second to last before the doors closed. Crystal didn’t speed up or slow down. She kept at the same pace making sure the customer in front of her was served and taken good care of. She still asked if they wanted to purchase stamps or needed help with anything. I would have skipped all the extra talk. But she maintained a professional spirit. I also would have shut the doors when I already had so many in line before closing. But, she said everyone who makes it by 12 will be served. She even took envelopes from people that were ready to go after 12 out of courtesy when she was letting people out. To save time, she asked the remaining people what they needed and gave us all directions. Some people just needed to be weighted or scanned. The rest of us needed paperwork. We didn’t know. So we filled out paperwork while the others were taken care of. It worked out well and she was able to get us all out in a reasonable time. The parades downtown made a lot of us come to courthouse road. She had been working hard all morning. But, she never got angry or lashed out at anyone. She kept her professional demeanor and took care of each customer. Everyone left with a smile and thanked her profusely! I came a couple weeks ago and she helped me understand what happen to my other package. She didn’t know, but she went got help by asking someone who did know. Some people don’t go that far.”

“In the 1950-1969 we had a mail box there. I have fond memories of walking through town to pick up the mail. On the second floor the Selective Service was located for us guys to register for the draft. Gulfport was a very special place when I was growing up. I would still love to live in Gulfport again. The world was safe and innocent back then. GO GHS! Gulfport Commodores state football champions 1963, 1964, 2nd place 1965. Despite the trash Lindy Callahan.”

“While I’ve had mediocre experiences here in the past, my latest visit was exceptional thanks to John! John was friendly, knowledgeable, and sincere. His voice was soothing amongst the hustle and bustle, and his demeanor was professional and warm. I never thought to rate this post office because I didn’t have anything nice to say, but as long as John is there, that should be no problem! (PS: Give John a raise ?)”
