We were stationed at Camp Shelby, MS with a household size of 9. Gollott and Sons was assigned our shipment for my husbands PCS. The staff was amazing from the beginning of our move all the way through til the end.The group of women who packed our belongings did so efficiently and respectfully. In less than two business days they had our place boxed up and inventoried from top to bottom. They gave us the absolute kindest and sweetest parking experience we've had to date. Our movers loaded our shipment on what I'd describe as the hottest day Mississippi could offer. We watched as they moved with a constant pace in what seemed like a truck size game of Tetris. Usually we never interfere with our movers, however they were incredibly kind and so overwhelmingly hot that we wanted to aid in the process. My husband and I moved boxes from the back bedrooms into the easier to load from living room. We were constantly told we were "amazing people" and thanked for our simple action. Our movers were the amazing people, 1000% kind hearted and hard working.Once we arrived at our destination we contacted our driver for the shipment. He got us on schedule right away and our HHG arrived 1 week after we did. Our driver was the same courteous man who loaded us up in Kansas. His two nephews and himself unloaded our HHG into our new place during yet another heat advisory spell. They pushed through and got everything in place within 7 hours. They were the best! We've never had a more polite set of movers in our home.I highly recommend using this company for any move and even asking for them specifically when getting assigned movers for a PCS. Thank you all for making our move the smoothest ever!!!

If I could give them zero stars I would! As a military family who moves a lot we have experience with moving companies. Gollot and Sons was by far the worst moving company we have ever dealt with. They were disrespectful, unprofessional, and unresponsive. They broke several pieces of furniture, dented a door knob, and loaded the truck in the rain causing mold growth on several boxes Causing us to have to throw of several items. When they were finished loading the truck they refused to nail our crates shut or even inform my husband of how many crates we had. My husband and myself were left to wonder if all our things would arrive at our next duty station. Military moves are stressful enough without shitty moving companies like Gollot and Sons. Never in a million years would I recommend this company to anyon!

Worst experience ever. Was stationed at keesler AFB and husband got orders to Germany. gollot & sons in Gulfport were our assigned moving company. The morning of the move only two men came to pack. We sold our heavy furniture but we did have a lot of individual items that needed to be packed. They arrived at 10 AM and didn't call for backup until 4 PM. by that time 4 other men came and all of them were rude and complaining about there being so much to pack.Overall very unpleasant and rude. They packed random things in boxes HORRIBLY. there are pieces to items missing and glass broken.

Janet, Diane, and Katherine were very personable and enjoyable. Everything was packed with care and treated well. Highly recommend!

We have had several moves in our military career, and this was by far the worst. Besides one guy the whole crew was super lazy. They took more breaks than they actually worked….Things that were clearly labeled were put in the wrong places, and no one listened to us when we asked them to put certain things in certain places. Because of how unorganized it was everything ended up getting piled up in the garage. There was a crazy rainstorm with bad lightning and thunder and they kept working through even though we asked them to come back the next day to finish, all the while our stuff was getting soaked and they were running out of places to put boxes because they just dumped everything in the garage. They finished unloading and said they would come back the next day. They did, but it was just as irritating. Not listening to direction and taking really poor care of our things. I saw one guy force a dolly around a corner and gauge out a piece of our moulding instead of just moving a box aside so he had more room. After all of that I called to have our boxes removed and repeatedly called for 2 weeks about it, and no one followed up or picked up the boxes. I had to dispose of them myself and they still haven’t followed up to see if I still need boxes picked up. Needless to say the absolute worst moving experience and we will never be using this company again.

If you're moving and the military assigns this company, absolutely refuse to use them. I can't even begin to describe how bad our experience was. We still have not gotten through documenting all the damage a month later.

I would rate less but clearly you can't. This is by far the WORST moving company I've ever experienced. The women that came to pack our house (1 lady was really nice) were completely rude. I'm guessing she was the head lady in charge, she huffed and puffed like she was too bothered to do her job. They packed up a bunch of my work stuff then when I asked where it was, had the nerve to be rude with me and bothered I asked they pull it back out ,ONLY to see a pair of my expensive hair sheers had been damaged. More than half of our furniture is busted and broken. My daughter's swing and a few other furniture items looked like they had been in a fire or something with all kinds of black mess on them. They literally just put whatever in boxes, made no care with half of it. The boxes are completely mislabeled, our plastic containers are all busted and unable to be used. All of the parts for beds and furniture where put in bags NONE of which were labeled. Lamp shades are all damaged. We just had our stuff delivered yesterday and it's an absolute NIGHTMARE!! Never again.

The movers were decent, however the head guy was rushing through my drop off because he had to make it to a medical appointment. They were supposed to unpack all of my items and do to that they did not even though I requested that they do so. He assured that after I unpack my own items, they would take the boxes. Of course they did not. I called and they said next time they were in my neighborhood they would give me a call to get the boxes. I see them today and still no phone call so I write this review. The boxes are long gone, but they don’t know that. Nor do they care. DOD stop hiring this company.

Absolutely terrible. Just threw all our stuff in random boxes and didn’t label them correctly. I think we found one our daughter’s toys in each of the boxes. Just an absolutely pathetic excuse for a company. They have absolutely no respect for their client’s personal items whatsoever. The three old people they had come pack up our stuff were huffing and puffing and making it extremely obvious they didn’t want to pack our things.

Worst moving experience possible. This is their warehouse where thousands of dollars of our stuff got damaged in the rain. Furniture arrived moldy and ruined. Movers were unprofessional and left trash and blunt tips in the yard. One guy complained about the work nonstop. Took eight hours to do probably four hours of work. Came unprepared without tools or water. The crappy thing is military members who end up with this company assigned as transfer agents don't know until after it's too late. Do not pass go do not use this company if you can. I

Firstly the movers they sent were older and seemed disinterested in actually doing their job. The packing was completely disorganised. They left behind so much stuff. I understand certain things can't be packed such as fragrance or cleaning solutions etc but random things were left behind like a piece of my rice cooker. Ridiculous ! Furthermore they packed my key fob when I explicitly set it to the Side along with my keys. I noticed it was no longer on the counter and I asked if they packed. They swore up and down they didn't. I asked them to look through the box they were currently packing and of course they didn't. I had to pay like 50 bucks to replace my key fob. Low and behold a few months later when I received my house hold goods the first box I unpacked contained the very key fob in the very box I asked them to check for. The military needs to stop handing out contracts to any and everyone !

This was a terrible moving experience. So many of our things are broken. Including our bed, our tv and two antiques that I asked to please be packed carefully. These items are one of a kind and irreplaceable. I am so upset. Additionally multiple pieces of our art are damaged and the list goes on. The order and combination in which they packed our belongings did not make sense either. Like why would you pack a fragile piece of art with a heavy hole puncher? And why woul

Additionally multiple pieces of our art are damaged and the list goes on. The packers were disrespectful and one of them started throwing things off the truck toward us. They packed us a month ago and waited to write a review in the hopes that everything arrived without damages from was going to overlook the lack of respect we got. That is far from the case.
