“Great food, great service, that good poboy bread, & reasonable prices! This hidden gem is quite the treat. We love their roast beef poboys, shrimp on a bun, cajun fries, sweet potato fries, & my little one now likes their mac & cheese more that CFA. It does take about 20-25 minutes for them to make your food, but you can call your order in ahead of time. We will keep coming & bringing others!”

“I like this store for its convenience, cleanliness and the friendly atmosphere. I've never had a bad experience or encounter there.I don't mind the minimal selection as most of my purchases are made by price and not "brand".What I'm not happy with is the extra 10% charge at the end because most but, not all priced items are no less cost than the alternative. I also WISH 1. They kept a few buggies IN the store and 2. That they had a deli, even a small minimal one. Having a butcher shop world be a DREAM!! Unfortunately, if you want a nicely priced and cut piece of beef, they are NOT Winn-Dixie. This is why I gave them 4 stars ?”

“Winn Dixie used to have some great BOGO deals. But not so much anymore. Prices seemed higher on many items. Milk, eggs, cottage cheese, meat and produce compared to Walmart...but I would like another place to shop that doesn't break the bank.”

“I didn't eat while I was here. For this trip I needed candy and goodies for a special person for birthday and Christmas! They didn't disappoint. Nice variety of snacks and candy from Mexico that was well loved! A couple of young girls were working and they spoke English which was really nice, it made my shopping experience that much better! I'll definitely be back!”

“This is the store that I do all of my shopping at.Its always neat and stocked well. The only thing I don't like about this store is that it's too crowded in the afternoon while shopping after work. The stockers are in the way and makes me feel claustrophobic so I try not to shop at that time unless I absolutely need something !”

“I shop here frequently for something I discover I need at the last minute. You know, milk, bread, tissue, etc. They seem well stocked and reasonably priced. Sometimes you have to squeeze a rubber squeaky toy on the counter to get an employee's attention cause they are stocking shelves. But that's ok.”

“It's a typical small base sized commissary reminds me a lot of paris island in south carolina.... It has everything you need, although it's a small variation of items and you can tell some of the meat has been sitting for a while. That's par for the course for the small base commissary... I was staying on base at the R.V park but I can always see some of these smaller commissaries on a smaller bases being shut down eventually because they just don't get the foot traffic from the younger generations of troops...”

“Ms. Faith is a hard working store manager. She works hard to keep the store well stocked and tidy at all times. Kimble and Pat work in conjunction to help with the stocking and customers as fast as they can. Pretty busy store, great variety in selection of merchandise also.”

“This review is pertaining to the Dollar General on Highway 53 in Harrison County. I live less than 2 miles from the Dollar General, on highway 53. So naturally, it’s the first Store that you go to when you need something! Coming out of Covid, just about all of the Dollar Generals on the Mississippi Coast, Struggled to keep their stores stocked with merchandise! Retail is not an easy job to keep up with, especially if you have thousands of different products! Some of the items come from the Dollar General warehouse, on their Dollar General truck, And then you have local vendors, like the snack cake, vendors, the bread, vendors, and most of the time it is a guessing game on how much product, that needs to be left at each store! Four the last three years, The store on Highway 53, has struggled with keeping things on the shelf! Simple things such as sugar, milk, bread, tea bags, even coffee! There is nothing worse, to have seven things on your short grocery list, and you have to go to four dollar generals to get seven things! The Highway 53 store has had its fair share of problems, keeping every day staples in stock! one of the reasons that it bothers me so much, when they don’t have the items that I need when I go to the Highway 53 store, Is my father in the late 50s opened up a wholesale tomato company, and we sold to restaurants and grocery stores! Over a total of 60 years in the tomato business, our family business never ran out of product! Now, keep in mind, that a tomato once it makes it to the market to be sold, has about 10 days to sell it before it starts To rot !!! But a can of green beans if stored properly can last for 50 years or more on a shelf? So how can a store run out of green beans, or other merchandise that has a long shelf life! Most of the time it is the human element that the problem leads back to! Which, brings me to some. Good news! The Dollar General on Highway 53, within the last few weeks has a new store manager! And what tipped me off that something had changed at the store, was Saturday night at 9:30 pm July 26th, since it was the closest Dollar General to me, I stopped to get a gallon of milk, a bag of sugar, and a loaf of wheat bread! And they had all three items! Which meant that I didn’t have to go to another, Dollar General to get the rest of the items that I needed! When I told the gentleman working how happy I was that I didn’t have to go to three more stores to get two more things, he told me that he was the new manager! After a short conversation it became very clear that the new manager named T J, is most definitely a thinker a doer, and a go-getter, and he is proud of his store! He has within the last couple of weeks has really turned the store around, and I invite other people to go back to the Highway 53 store if it’s close to you, because the new manager is making big changes in a positive way, that actually will please the customers! So feel free to stop in and tell the manager TJ how good of a job he is doing! It’s amazing how such small things can make such a big impact on peoples lives when a store don’t run out of a can of green beans! Good job, TJ! Keep up the good work! JIMMY MCNEELY 07-2024 ???”

“Self serve register hung up so not worth it to use if you're buying mucinex or some other meds that need permission. But I guess worth it if not. Clean friendly store.”

“Been going to this store and it has definitely became my favorite store. It’s clean, organized, and stocked. The manager Ashley and her coworker Cassie are always there to help and are always working but take time to stop to help find anything needed.”

“This Dollar General is right off of Highway 90 very easy to get into and get out of. They were well stocked the day I went was able to use my digital coupons without a problem they have cold beer, cold drinks, stuff for sandwiches so if you’re planning to go to the beach. This is a great Dollar General to stop at and pick up last minute things or to fill your ice chest for a beach day.”

“Not as big as other commissary's I've shopped at but still decent. Nice variety of common items you would need and definitely cheaper than the mini mart. Tax free and good place to grab something for lunch as well (sandwiches and sushi ready to eat).”
