Sadly, this is the cleanest and most organized DG near us. There are specifically two employees here that seemed a bit prejudice and odd during a recent visit. My grandmother, sister, and I visited this store recently and noticed there were sales on select home items. I’m local and frequently shop here because I’m working on organizing my pantry/laundry and love the clear containers and woven baskets. We informed them at the register that the paper printed sale sign on the aisle stated “Buy 1, Get 50% off” and some stated “Buy 1, Get 1 Free”. This applied to baskets - no other exceptions besides saying the items with (x) dot are excluded. Can’t remember the color of dot. But the employees acted like we were completely illiterate especially after telling them a basket was also defected (woven threads were ripped). We overheard as we were leaving one employee made a sly remark “let me go check the basket aisle” insinuating we were lying about what the sale sign clearly said. I could have very much afforded the things at full price or just went to Marshall’s or Target to buy the same thing instead. Regardless, they still didn’t total the sales items correctly anyways and lack knowledge of the sales they’re running. It may help if they kept a copy of their printed signs at the register for easy referencing. Oh well, I’ll continue shopping here. Won’t give them the justice of running off specific customers to maintain the crowd they actually want to service.

This location is the absolute best and I have gone all 5 in the surrounding area. Clean, easy to shop in. Workers are always helpful and nice. Very pleasant. It is my go to.

I live in Saucier and never knew about this store until a couple of months ago.This store is the best store I've ever been in, and the layout is great. It's super clean and beautiful.I live one block from one of the others and down the street from 2 others, and I go to north swan, it's that good. Keep up the good work.

First off, when I found out that there was a new Dollar General that had opened on N. Swan Rd., I was very excited! I was told by a family member that it was absolutely wonderful the amount of stock that they have in the store. I had accepted the fact that during and after Covid that I would never find a Dollar General that would have all the items that I was looking for. My family, including myself, had a wholesale tomato company for 56 years. out of that 56 years even though we sold something that had a shelflife of 10 days at the best, we never ran out of the product and we didn’t throw it away. It was a very delicate balance things you can’t really learn in college! So when I would go to other dollar generals on the coast, I would stop at the nearest store, working my way back home, it was a challenge to see if they had the few things that I needed.I am very aware of how the inventory and the ordering is done with stores like Dollar General, but I cannot except the fact, that every time I went to go get sugar, teabags, milk, just every day staples that are used each day, They would be out! And this would repeat itself week after week. Most of the other stores in the Harrison County area evidently has management problems to where they’re not able or don’t care, To keep items on the shelf. I blamed it on Covid for two or three years but it’s obvious that it has something to do with internal management at each store the manager at the new store on North Swan actually has it together! I have told her this for months now, and you can tell she’s proud of her accomplishment of keeping the store stocked. With average daily items! It has actually changed my life and it’s worth the extra 5 mile drive to pass up other dollar generals so I will be guaranteed to get what I came for, and not have to visit five other stores to get six items on my list. Again a big shout out to the management and her team of employees for having the best store that I have seen in a long time. I suggest that if other people are having problems finding simple daily items try Dollar General on N. Swan Rd., off Highway 49 across from Highway 53. I’ve had people that I have complained about this issue and they would tell me go to Walmart! I don’t like Walmart, and would rather fight three grown men at one time than to go there! I am also convinced, that I could find street drugs, faster than I could find a bag of sugar at the other dollar generals! “ a little off the top” from, JIMMY MCNEELY

Honestly I’ll pass up the dollar general I have in saucier and go to this one! The 2 guys were so helpful and nice last time I went! Then tonight the guy was super nice as well! Definitely great employees! Super nice!

Absolutely my favorite Dollar General to shop at. The store is always so clean and organized. The employees here are top notch. Everyone I have encountered have been so helpful and friendly. This store and its quality of employees definitely sets the bar high for other dollar general stores. This will be my go to stop from now on.

I have been denied the use of their bathroom. I am elderly and have problems in this area. I have driven past two other DG just to shop at this one, but never again. Our money is good enough for them but the can’t show decency.
