My husband and I came to Marvin's for lumber. Ended up paying $290.56. But that was not my issue. My issue is first, the young girl who was ringing our items up was less than polite almost not speaking at all. We drove over to the lumber and plywood area where two men were sitting in chairs. The first man ask him what he needed, instead of walking over to the truck to look at our receipt, until my husband ask him to look at it. Then my husband had to load our pressure treated lumber, our OSB boards and 9×2× 1/4 boards. This was ridiculous. We will never be shopping at Marvin's in Columbus Mississippi. Should have and will from now own shop at Lowes.

This store is very clean and organized. The staff are all very polite, helpful, and knowledgeable. It is a great place to have on the east side of town when Lowe's is just too far out of the way or you don't have time to deal with the crowds. The only reason I did not give this store the full 5 stars is that their selection of inventory is not quite as inclusive and large as other home improvement stores such as Lowe's but they do have all the basics for the most part. I think there has been once I had to make an additional trip to town to get something from Lowe's that they did not have at Marvin's but other than that it is a great place to go.

I come to the store to get the root beer. They have exotic bottled drinks that are not from the area and the staff is always great.

My company spends a ton of money with Marvin's so I'd expect when we call to give more business we would be treated with a little more respect. Drop the attitude and do your job or go to McDonald's! No wonder why Lowes and surrounding companies are putting you out of business. Very disappointed and questioning if we should continue using Marvins at this point.
