If you can, I recommend avoiding this place at all costs. I have had Taylor Tire & Automotive work on my car two separate times for two separate mechanical problems. While they did fix the initial problem, each time, they caused another problem! The first time was for a radiator replacement, which was successful, but they did not install it correctly as it caused my engine to quit. The second time was for a power steering rope replacement, which was also successful, but they did not even put everything back correctly. Having to pay hundreds & hundreds of dollars when they cause another separate issue (twice!!!!) is wild, so if you need a mechanic, it would be wise to find another mechanic shop.

Went to get an estimate for a belt misalignment on a truck i just purchased. I've always worked on my own vehicles including engine swaps and never take my vehicles to a mechanic but I didn't have time to deal with it. I explained the issue and what troubleshooting I did which included factory manual torque specs. Owner told me I should "sell all my tools" and bring it later. Made me mad enough to fix it myself anyway for the cost of a $20 specialty tool. Never again.

I want to thank Gary and the Staff at Taylor Tire and Automotive. They have serviced three generations of my families cars and trucks . In a time when so many chain stores charge for unnecessary repairs, it is nice to know I can trust in Gary's experience and knowledge for a good estimate , quality workmanship at a fair price . We live in the Madison area and it is well worth the Drive for Gary to look at my car . I will continue to recommend Gary to my friends in the the Madison and Clinton area . Worst auto repair experience in Clinton. Condescending employees, and a delusional owner who bragged his employees never went into glove compartments or consoles without owner permission. He started bragging about it RIGHT AFTER finding they went into my glove compartment without calling me to get permission - and never apologized for it. Just said he didn't want to seem like he was making excuses for it but they NEVER do it without permissions. He said "My guys know better or they know what they'll get!"They left the air filter door off in the glove box. They left the fuse box door hanging without closing. They never repaired the issue, but definitely charged me for it.Maybe if you need something simple like windshield wipers replaced, this would be the place to go. But for anything at all requiring skill or integrity, please do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.His brother's shop on Clinton Blvd is decent and they actually repair things.

Horrible customer service. Just wanted someone to rerun some codes for me. Tired to explain the situation I was in and wouldn't help me. He even hung up on me. Very rude. And very sad since I need a place to service my four vehicles.
