I've driven as for as 12 miles to come to this cleaners because of a referral. The 3 young ladies that work here are exceptionally nice and very honest, however I'm very upset about the price gouging. On yesterday 01/08/24 I brought 2 inexpensive jogging suits, a dress shirt, and a gap sweater to be cleaned and the price was outrageously high! $56.00, mind you i only paid $15 for the top and $15 for the bottom x's 2. So i removed the sweater and it was $48. So i took off the dress shirt and it was still $40 for the jogging suits... I politely went around the corner less than a mile to Simon's cleaner and met one of the sweetest guy's ( Mr. Cecil) he was very patient and honest. I explained my reason leaving College Cleaner due to overpriced service. He stated we're not like that here. He explained that they had been in buisness over 60 year's, immediately my faith was restored. I asked him to show me some of there work, perhaps something similar to what I had brought in and I was very impressed!!!! Furthermore i was very impressed with the price!!!! Yay Simon's cleaner saved the day. I was able to get 2 jogging suits a dress shirt and sweater (Dry Cleaned) not laundered for only $37.00. I mean i understand inflation but despise a rip off. So if anyone needs a Real cleaners whose reasonable, professional, honest, and skilled please consider Simon Cleaner's. You won't regret it...

I’ve used this establishment for over a decade, and have never had anything but positive experiences. College Cleaners has always done an EXCELLENT job on every laundry challenge that I’ve ever presented them with…. Whether it’s popsicle stains on delicate pottery barn bed linens, dry cleaning sheepskin blankets from Overland’s, or cleaning/preserving my late grandmother’s mink stole…they’ve either met or exceeded my expectations. Keep up the great work!Service: Special care fabric cleaning

I live nearby this cleaner and wanted to give them a shot. I have been doing business with Simons Cleaners in Clinton for a couple years but they started taking a bit longer to finish my dry cleaning.College cleaners did get it back to me in half the time but the results were not impressive.I prefer my dress shirts to be medium starch which means you launder them with the starch and then press it.College cleaners pressed my shirts on a ironing board and left starch residue on ALL of my shirts. My black and dark colored shirts had starch flakes ALL over them. Very horrible job.And to boot it cost me about $35 dollars more than Simons cleaners.I like giving ppl a chance but that was bad. So Simons it is for me.** Update, I had a good convo with the (manager or owner not sure) and willing to give them another chance, Was a good conversation.Service: Clothes pressing

The customer service based on my experience with the manager and the owner was worse than disappointing; it was hateful as well as disrespectful. To think this is a retirement community!!I’m new in town so I asked for a recommendation for a good dry cleaner. This business was recommended. I had a pea wool coat trimmed in faux leather. This is why I needed a speciality cleaner. When it was time to pick up the coat after having been cleaned, I received a call stating that there was no need to pick it up because it was ruined. There was no offer for compensation. I picked up the coat anyway and was told that the damage had been done to the coat previously. The faux leather had been melted off in each area where there was the faux leather accents. It had not been done prior to taking it to the College Dry Cleaners. Still I was told nothing could be done. I brought the coat home and told my mother who has a more forceful personality than I do.She was furious. She took the coat to the cleaners. Demanded to speak to the manger and did so by phone. After much discussion, the manger told my mother that she couldn’t do anything more than the nothing she’d already done. After my mother hung up the phone, she asked to talk to the owner who was the called. He was rude, uncooperative and unconcerned that his cleaners had ruined my coat. My mother insisted that I be compensated for the damage to the coat. A price of 25% of its replacement value was finally agreed upon. Then the owner wanted to keep the coat after I had been told to not come get the coat because it was damaged. My only compensation was that I didn’t have to pay for the cleaning. My mother continued to discuss these issues with the owner who finally replied “Take the damn coat but don’t you ever come back to my store.”How does this help the rating for Clinton to be a retirement community?Service: Special care fabric cleaning
