The prices range from good to great for almost anything people normally buy(at least the generic brand of that something). If you are a name brand buyer or buy things that are not everyday items, you may pay retail or even at prices that are retail in high cost of living areas. Often, sale prices for these items/products are above or at the going rate that you would find someplace else. But, you can find quality generic products here(Always Save is Vowell's signature brand and they have good examples within their brand: cookies, chips, ice cream, etc--more good than not, but do not be surprised if you find a dud here or there). Since you can get generics, you can mix and match their generics and high cost items to not do that badly at the register. This is a similar grocery store to other Vowell's establishments, but there is not as much variety at the Noxapater, MS branch due to it being a small store in a small town and there is no restaurant counter to it, either. However, I have shopped at others and most of what I said applies. Yet, the times that I've eaten food from the Vowell's in the surrounding areas--they offer takeout and it's like homemade resembling children school cafeteria eating in the 90s(verdict: average--not Ryan's quality from my experience nor would you expect it to be, either). And, I've had no issue with friendly service. But, at least a few of them(including the Noxapater one) have this nauseating odor(not stinky, but nauseating)...

Normally I enjoy going to Vowels for fast courteous service... Today was different..I'm posting this simply for our Elderly and others who have not jumped on the computer train...I go in buy a few things and noticed that 18 packs of eggs were free with a purchase of ten dollars...I grab one go through the cashier and then I remember that I needed mayonnaise and couple of things I had forgotten after checking my list..I go ahead and check out so I don't hold up the line...I leave my cart of groceries and come back to a long line...I tell the cashier I'm going to service after getting my forgotten items...It rings over ten ..I told the cashier the whole thing along with already getting the special but after spending another 20 can I get another free pack of 18 eggs..No problem she said..So when I return ( after jogging all the way through the store) she said I need to see your app... I said app ? The sign says with a purchase of ten dollars or more..it doesn't mention the app....They argued with me until I said keep them...I came home and immediately uninstalled my Vowels app...Now back to the Elderly...They are paying the same outrageous..hiked up amount for groceries as everyone else...I don't believe a gift for your patrons should depend on whether or not they're Internet savvy...Or at the very least put it on the sign in warning to them that without it Vowels doesn't appreciate your business

Nice place, some of the employees have great attitudes. They have a food court, but they lack hospitality. Sometimes they're rude if you're not a regular customer. They need some corrections in that area. Some of there priced items are high but, overall they're better than Walmart. Especially with service.

It's ok ,, just have to watch what you buy ..Certain items are way over priced,,.Always great prices on meats.They do run some awesome sales on meats when they do ..Always have a great experience checking out ..Check out daily deals ,, they give away different items each day with a minimum purchase.I'm more impressed with Vowels now , they are getting better with prices .

Deli food is good for a great price staff is always pleasant and great to stop in to grab something quick for dinner. You can still find all of the meats your mama and grandma irised to cook with this is my go to place

The food in the deli has gotten nasty, nothing has a taste to it anymore!! I've tried it several times this week thinking my taste buds was off but no baked chicken dry with no seasoning at all...to nasty rice spoiled one day, fried chicken dry tasting like bacon grease... and the attitudes of the workers in the deli is awful not all of them but the ones serving the food has the worst attitude...they really should bring back the old workers who knew how to cook and treat people...
