Had a horrible experience at the Hyundai dealership in Flowood and was looking for a fairly priced, transparent mechanic I could trust for my automotive needs.
Decided to give Ole Brook a try because I thought I remembered them positively from previous experiences.
I needed an oil change and for a few other needs to be checked, so I sent a small note with my mother because I was at work over 50 miles away.
First issue was they didn't bother to read that I simply wanted the other issues checked so I would know if I needed to come for future service, so I had to call and get that straight.
Second, when all was said and done and I looked at the bill, I found out that my tires had been rotated and I was charged for it but I let that go because I was overdue.
But the third issue is a deal breaker: about a week later I was involved in an accident where my car struck and killed an animal.
While taking pictures for the claims adjuster, I popped the hood to determine if any damage could be seen from that vantage point and found oil blown all over the top of my engine.
I didn't think this was related to the accident but took pictures just in case and had the body shop take a look at it for me.
Turns out, the pictures I took showed what the problem was, though I didn't realize it at the time:
Ole Brook LEFT THE DIPSTICK OUT!
Besides a mess, MY ENGINE COULD'VE SEIZED, leaving me with thousands of dollars in unnecessary expenses.
The car was at the body shop for a month, so I've been waiting for a chance to have it checked out somewhere else, but as best the body shop can determine, the dipstick was the source of all the blown oil.
Now, I know how to check the fluids in a vehicle but I have not had a need with this car because I take it for regular oil changes and the vehicle had no oil leaks previously.
It's clear very few people care about anything anymore, let alone doing good business.
However, when you make mistakes like this, you open yourself up to lawsuits.
It's just a shame that it has to go to that level for people to do the right thing.
I'm not saying I'm suing, but consider this a cautionary tale.
Negative stars for Ole Brook and the search continues for a mechanic I can trust.

Very bad experience! Charged $1500 to replace the thermostat because it was overheating. When i got it back the truck was shaking and white smoke coming from exhaust.. did not have any of these issues previously! I took it back to Roger. He is over the shop and was told there was nothing they could do and to take it elsewhere..complete rip off .. i have a video but can’t upload it on here

Excellent customer service and support. Ordered tires; received as promised. Tires mounted quickly and accurately. Had a rim issue with one of them and returned to dealer. Problem resolved immediately. This place deserves your business. Thanks

I'm sure they maybe good mechanics, but I took my car there to get fixed. My car sat there over a week, and when they said they fixed it, my car was doing the same thing it was doing before I took it in. So I took it back, and my car sat there another week. So I went and picked it up I was charged close to $300. So I was left without the use of my car. Like I said I'm not putting down the workers, but my car was not fixed at all.

I took my car there to get fixed. My car sat there for a week went back to get it, I paid over $200. And my car was still doing the same thing it was doing before I took it in. I took it back the next week, my car sat there for another week, and it wasn't even looked at. I'm sure the people there are good people and try there best, but I was out of close to $300. And was without a car.

BEST PROFISSONAL Technicians I have ever seen. I was having a problem with the alignment and I was very nervous. I thought that the problem is with the chassis itself but when Mr. Ronald took a look at it, he explained to me everything about what's going on and he was very glad to explain to me. I highly recommend this place and I hope I don't get any problems in the future ? but if it is gonna happen, I know right now where I can go.

Car having electric issues. They claimed they could fix it. They replaced alternator and I barely got the car home. It's still same issue, so the car didn't need and alternator from the beginning.They ripped me off and had no remorse. $400+ gone. If you don't know 100 percent whats wrong with your vehicle don't take it here! Never again will I... first and last time. The get 0 stars from me.
