Went into this Bank located in a Walmart in Biloxi Mississippi to do a cash advance on my credit card. Was refused service and was told that they do not do a cash advance to non-members of the bank.With my Visa card I should be able to get a cash advance at any Bank. Then was told the bank did not keep enough cash to do cash advances.Had the branch manager Candy show me the policy she was denying service under. The policy clearly showed that Woodforest did cash advances for the Visa card. There was one paragraph that showed they offered specials for "their" Bank customers. She said if I was a bank member I could get the service. Over the phone customer service from their bank said that I could get a cash advance from one of their other locations, but that bank denied me.The branch manager was clearly breaking the policies of her own bank. A follow-up call to her management produce the same result; no service. I'm still waiting on a call from the "Marketing Manager". The branch manager was upset that I would even question her. She could not produce the policy that allowed her to break the rules applying to the Visa card. When I tried to show her the difference between just a Visa holder and one of their members she was not willing to listen and or make any exceptions. Getting a cash advance on a Visa should not be an exception it should be honoring credit cards. This bank is not willing to reciprocate with other Banks across the Nation that honor the Visa from other Banks for cash advances. A policy I was showed clearly laid out that cash advances on credit cards were authorized.I'm just a customer who dropped by at a Walmart to get some groceries, get a cash advance, and go down the road. But because the branch manager Candy makes up her own rules, I was denied service.A bank that does not follow their own policies is not worth becoming a member of. Her manager backed up her decision. She was actually trying to get me to open an account to get the cash advance. It was not about having the cash on hand, it was their way to solicit new business. This is a deceitful place, please do not open account with this business.

I've had accounts with alot of banks and I found Woodforest and have been pleased with them for a long time now.

Very rude rep. I wish I would get her name. I searched Woodforest bank and its said this location is open until 7pm. I came at 6:54pm. The rep rudely told me they closed. I was trying to tell her Google map said closed 7pm so they can fix that. But she refused to listen to what I said and pointed out the sign closed at 6pm. I told her that they should update on Google. She said that's why they have sign. But ma'am, I'm unable to see your sign until I walk in here, duh... No need to be unpleasant, I'm a customer who didn't know your business hours are different from stated on here and yes you can edit your business hours on Google. Hopefully next time the rep will approach other customers differently.

Do Not Deal with this Bank! They are rude and have no empathy for anyone. My friend passed away on 7-11-20 in Gulfport MS and had no family members and was a widower and Veteran. He died quickly with sepsis and emergency surgery. He has the funds in his account to pay for his funeral expenses, but this Bank will not release any funds for his funeral or cremation without a Certified Death Certificate. You can’t apply for one until he is buried or cremated in Mississippi. He had no Life insurance So we have no way of paying without access to his funds. We sent documents to the Legal Department since Monday trying to get them to pay the funeral home so he can be buried or cremated but Christy in legal will not budge nor will her supervisor return my call. They can’t understand that with the COVID Virus. It will take a minimum of 10 weeks to get a Certified Copy of his Death Certificate after he is buried or cremated. For this reason, I say run! Do not use this so call Banking Institution for any purpose. This is the way they treat the elderly and Veterans!

The employees here are horribly rude. They do not greet any customers when they enter. They do not offer any kind of help unless asked for. The lady who helped me took a personal phone call while assisting me. Very unprofessional workplace.
