This clinic has changed hands, the Dutton's no longer own this practice, nor work here. The vets here now don't know a thing about serious injuries. I took my cat there after being attacked by a dog and they did nothing for him. He had a dislocated shoulder (which they were not staffed to attend to) but he also had a gash on his other side which was made by the dog's teeth. They kept him over the New Years weekend until I could get him to MedVet in NOLA. When NOLA treated him the gash was crusted over and infected and they charged me over $1,000. It took 2 rounds of antibiotics to get it taken care of. I wish I had gone on the NOLA instead of going there. I did not know at the time the Dutton's were no longer working there. Go to NOLA, it's not that far, right on the interstate and can handle any emergency.

Any time I have gone here they have been very helpful. This last time I went in a young lady, Dr. (didn’t get her name) absolutely treated my fur baby better than any veterinary ever has. She cared not only about our fur baby but us as well. The care she gave our baby will be remembered for a long time. Thank you, whoever you are!! You set a perfect example of what a veterinarian is suppose to be ?

We brought our dog, Jester, in on a referral from our vet. Every person we encountered was so compassionate and kind! Before they did anything, they explained the entire process to us, and were very detailed with cost. They kept us updated regularly before, during, and after his surgery, to remove a rock. When we were able to go pick him up the next day, they said it hadn’t cost what they estimated it would, so they credited us back the remaining money. Thanks to them, and their quality of care and attention, we have our boy back home with us, recovering, and his sister is much happier! Thank y’all!

Do yourself a favor and spend your money elsewhere. I wouldn’t go back if it was the last vet open on the face of the earth.

I took Murfee to this ER after she had thrown up several times and then all of a sudden developed diarrhea that was more blood than poop. From the time we arrived until the time we saw a vet tech and the Dr and had blood drawn and got the results - was no more than 45 min. It was decided to have Murfee stay for the night for supportive care. Everyone that I dealt with from the front desk to the vet tech to the Dr and the check out tech the next day were Excellent! They obviously cared about Murfee and wanted to take great care of her. Is it more expensive than going to your regular Vet? Yes - but it is an ER - no different than if you go to your PCP or the ER. I’m thankful that we have this great facility to go to in an emergency rather than having to drive to Mandeville.

Only giving 1 star because it won't let me put less. Went in with my dog that appeared to be sick from poisoning showing all signs of a major emergency. There were no other people waiting when I arrived carried my dog in and was told to sit and someone would be with me shortly, nobody came for an initial assessment nothing, after sitting in waiting room for 3hrs they finally put me in a room where I sat with nobody coming in for another 2hrs at which point I picked up my sick dog and walked out expressing my disappointment with the place and decided to just take my dog to his regular vet the next morning when they opened. Will never waste my time with this place again and will tell everyone I know of the complete lack of service, care or anything this place gives to emergencies that are potentially life or death for your pet. Worst hospital ever. This was roughly 3 years ago and I just never got around to writing a review. Luckily my dog wasn't dying from ingesting some kind of poison but had gotten ahold of some mushrooms and was high and only appeared to be poisoned.

The vet and all of the staff are amazing! They explained everything throughly and gave us options. He wasn't able to perform one of the procedures because our cat expelled her bladder while in sedation. He informed us and then took that procedure off of the bill. We never would have known if he did the procedure or not, so him telling us and removing it from the bill shows it is a trust worthy establishment. Hopefully we don't have to ever go to the ER again, but if we have to we will go here 100% of the time. #EmbersFixed.

I took my dog to Gulf Coast Vet for an issue with his eye. The staff was very friendly, and Dr Jason was very professional. Thanks again Gulf Coast Vet!

They took really good care of our dog, were very kind and considerate, but took much longer than expected due to front desk person being very busy and overwhelmed which led to some confusion as to weather we needed to bring paperwork back out to he,r or wait for vet to see us. Could be solved by getting that sweet lady some help. Definitely "emergency room" pricing so wouldn't take my dog unless it was a true cause for concern. Cost me nearly $500 for visit, anesthesia to knock him out for x-rays, 2 x-rays, and 2 meds, in addition to the 4 or so hours we were there. I'd go back though, my dog is worth it, and they did truly care about him and us.

Did everything in their power to help our dog tally. And after she passed they still helped us Christmas Day by taking her for cremation. Cant stress how good they are in an emergency
