I agree with the other people on these reviews. The front desk person is extremely rude and tells you on the phone that the office is full and when I go there, there’s nobody in there waiting .I love the veterinarians there. They are very compassionate, but when it comes to front desk now, very rude.

Would give zero stars if able to. Natalie the front desk/ tech lady is extremely rude and I had the worst experience ever with her. I had never been there before so I had to fill out the basic paperwork , left my dog in the car because she isn’t friendly with other dogs when I walked up to let her know I was there she snapped at me and asked “ do you have the ac on in the car for that baby” although I know she asked out of concern it was how she said it. I politely said yes and before I could say anything else she says “ YOU BETTER” I proceeded to tell her yes my daughter is out sitting with her. That was just one incident of many to follow she is very unprofessional. I also do not like nor do I trust the Dr herself. She was supposed to spay my dog and ended up doing exploratory surgery instead and telling me that my dog did not have a uterus or ovaries I have never had her fixed she said “the next time she goes in heat keep track of her heat cycles?!?” and said she had cancer. Waited and worried a week to find out it was benign. Anyway I do not recommend this place at all!!! I still don’t know what is wrong with my dog and she was never fixed but I did pay 600 dollars for exploratory surgery I didn’t ask for. More to this story but it’s a lot.

I’ve been to this vet on a few occasions, each with only a small inconvenience of rude front desk staff, that I had brushed off due to the doctor and vet techs being polite and caring towards my dog. However, after today’s incident, I will not be back and felt that I should share.
I brought my dog in today for a scheduled appointment to get a nail trim. He gets anxious when we try to do his nails and at his former vet, he seemed to respond well to the staff clipping them. He has also had his nailed trimmed at this office before by the doctor herself, and reacted well. Today, however, the front desk receptionist is the one who trimmed his nails, and her rude demeanor towards both myself and my dog was unacceptable.
Upon arriving, I was told almost immediately that “my dog needed to calm down or we wouldn’t be able to trim his nails” by the blonde curly haired receptionist. There was a full lobby of dogs in the waiting room at the time and we had just walked in a few minutes prior, so naturally he was still a bit excited. While waiting, I also overheard her rudely snapping at another customer at the front desk, who seemed to be polite and was only asking her a question.
Once my appointment time came around, I was asked if I could hold my dog in the lobby while they trimmed his nails, or if he needed a room, and that if I waited for a room, it would be a while. I explained that he gets anxious with nail trims, and that I would wait for a room. A few moments later I was then escorted quickly to the back, where the front desk receptionist rudely told another vet tech (who was very sweet and compassionate towards my dog, and not an issue at all) that “we need to trim his nails quick so we can get this dog out of here”. She then proceeded to verbally snap at my dog as she was clipping his nails, while myself and the other vet tech were trying to calm him down, as he was visibly very stressed.
I have never received such rude and careless treatment of my dog before. I understand that a busy Saturday can be stressful, but I don’t feel as though the front desk staff member that I dealt with today handled “caring” for an anxious animal in a proper manner at all. I felt as though, despite having an appointment, we were being rushed out, because she was annoyed with my dog (who was pacing around me, not interfering with any other customers or animals). I hope this helps the decision making of anyone who is considering taking their animals here.
All I know is that after reading a lot of reviews from here, it seems to be really repetitive. This receptionist doesn’t seem to care about what customer service means. But it doesn’t seem like it matters since she’s been there for years.

New to this area and our Primrose (2yr old Yorkie) became very sick. I called and they immediately got her in to see the Vet! Everyone was so nice and helpful! Thank you to everyone! Highly recommend Edgewater Veterinary Hospital.

I feel like if they just took x-ray of my baby puppy Pete's neck, he might still be here.. it was the end of the day , I'm sure they were trying to just close up....they put an oversized diaper around his neck and I think that's what paralyzed him, it was almost 5 though they said to bring him to hospital...that night
Hospitals x-ray showed his 2 vertebrae being separated and pushing into his skull ..my heart is full of sorrow, he was my baby I loved him so much..

Definitely a vet and definitely a hospital. Our puppy likes the vet. Cheapest (but still reliable and good) vet I've been to.
