I trust Dr. Acosta with my dog. She’s very honest and knowledgeable about dogs and cats, and she has dogs of her own. I know her parents and they raised her well. Highly recommended.

Went to this Facility because I was recommended by a co-worker. I was told that the cost was very good. This was my first time here and the rudeness from the lady at the front desk was unbearable. Talk about first impressions this experience of insulting and very negative on all levels. I would never recommended and I'll never come back again. If i could give no stars that would be great!

GO to LEE SPEARS VET, DVM. Right down the road less than a mile. I took my 2 cats to Acosta after moving from Ocean springs last year. Got their shots, brought them in for $10 manicures. But this last time: probably my last. Came in with one easy to handle kitty. CANT put her in a cage. I've tried. So carried her in. Some girl came out with a cage fit for a Hamster. SMALL. Went to the truck and tried. Walked back in and set cage down and said she won't go in. They have signs now that require a cage, and of course 3.5% on credits cards now and 2% on ATM cards. When I said in front of the lady at the desk (she never really seemed like a people person) that I can't get my kitten in the cage, I set it down and said I guess I will go elsewhere. NO ATTEMPT to make an exception or whatever. I even sat in my truck in full view of the front door for 2 min. Googling another VET. No one came out. I went to The LEE SPEARS VET charged $7.50 for a manicure. I asked if the VET is also the owner, and she said yes. THEY GOT MY FUTURE BUSINESS. Goodbye Acosta Update. They CANCELLED ME. Because of my review .

I have been using Dr. Acosta since my first fur baby was born. When she passed, Dr. Acosta was so very thoughtful about her passing and helped to make it a little easier. I will always be grateful for that. She has also been the vet for both of my fur babies that I have now. She has taken great care of them and they love her. I use the grooming facilities as well and have never been disappointed. My babies always look great when they come home from Dr. Acosta’s! I would highly recommend either one of these parts of the business.

My large dog was SCREAMING for me after they took him to the back for a check up. I heard him YELPING and CHOKING from three rooms away. I jumped the fence and ran into the OR and the woman let out a big shoulder-drawn sigh as if to say “oh no not again.” Everyone in the OR turned and looked at me with wide eyes as I saw my dog THRASHING on the ground in a CHOKE COLLAR covered in his own excrement. There were small dogs running around the OR barking at him and he was absolutely shaking and terrified. I didn’t even recognize him. They tried to play down the fact that I literally barged into a restricted area. I should have known better when I walked in and the entire place smelled like feces and my dog was cowering in fear in the corner. I heard nails scraping all the way down the hallway and I heard her say “STOP IT” followed by a growl that I would only expect if he was hit at least 20 times from the other room. My dog never growls or makes horrible noises like I heard today. This clinic should not be handling dogs. Don’t take them here for anything including a simple checkup. I have been a customer here for over 20 years and I was mortified by what I saw today. I dropped their $140 on the counter and let them know I will NEVER BE BACK. Time to find a new vet.

I put in an appointment on the 5th and the receptionist put me in for the 8th. She hears me out on whats going on with my cat and says to come in on the 7th instead at anytime because they only do blood work today. I come in on the 7th at 12:50pm to drop her off like she says and the lady there says I have no appointment. Nothing. No 7th or 8th. Also there's a note on her desk aboutthis and still they have no spots to see my cat till next Monday. She tell me I never called back which I did to know when to come in. So I had to leave without my cat getting seen, blaming ME for THEIR lack of communication and the bare minimum of of writing down an appointment.

I have had such a positive experience with Acosta. They do a great job of educating pet parents and showing love to each all animals that come in, no matter the size or condition. I have a big and little dog and we’ve experienced vets being a little cautious or assuming our Rottweiler may have a bad reaction, but being friendly to the little one. This has never happened at Acosta! They have fair prices and I’d recommend them to anyone!
