Big Star is a very cool small grocery store described as the best in the county. It is a clean, organized environment with a good overall selection of items, including fresh produce and good cuts of meat. The staff is friendly, courteous, and responsive, always glad to help. The take-home prepared foods, like smoked wings and pork, are surprisingly good. They sometimes have specials with good prices. The store is in a dry town, so it does not carry alcohol. Customers feel welcomed and appreciate the store's role in the community.

Very cool small grocery store with quite the overall selection on what a full line grocery store would carry. Fresh produce, fresh meat, as well as lists of cooler and frozen items. Very friendly service. Red Bay is a dry town, so no alcohol or beer to be had...

The employees are polite and helpful and the food is great. They have a heat and eat spinach dip that is delicious.
