Went to Kroger yesterday, Tuesday, February 20 stop there about say 7 PM maybe and I went to the deli to order some lunch meat and I didn't know how the condition of the slicer was until I seen him slicing. The lunchmeat I had ordered which was covered in look like leftover turkey, or a ham from maybe the previous orders And I say orders because it look like more than one type of meat that was on that slicer. I wonder what kind of bacteria is spreading to other people and cross-contamination of meat are spreading because the slices are not being clean. They find these new generation more interested in being on their phone and actually doing a good job and wonder why they can't get their life together I figure Kroger would take more pride in the south being that it is been Ran out of business and small neighborhoods because of lack of professional young man who did slice my meat did not ask me if I wanted to try it did not ask me how would I get cut and when he did sliced the meat it was a salami I had chosen so it comes in case and a cover that you're supposed to pull back in the gentleman did not pull it back. He sliced it just like that with the cover on it and every slice had that cover on it. Disappointed disappointed I did have Siri typing everything in so if things are not translated correctly my apologies I did not look it over.

Bought this white American cheese from Kroger in Batesville and when we got home, found foreign matter on most of the slices. Drove 15 miles back to return the cheese and the woman in customer service looked at it and said "they must not have cleaned the machine" and processed our refund. We then asked what the price was on firewood and the woman in customer service said she didn't know, that they change the price every time it's delivered and to ask someone else. I found someone else, asked the same question and was told to ask the woman in customer service. When I mentioned we had and were told to ask someone else, she talked to a bagger and came back to tell us he would help. That was the last we heard from anyone. We waited a bit, then gave up and went down the street to Piggly Wiggly, where we'll be doing our shopping for the duration. There seems to be a push to have a "midday huddle" at this store, but it's obvious they don't discuss customer service or food safety.

Pretty decent marketplace. Between them and "The Pig" I am covered. The crew there is ALWAYS friendly and willing to help you. Just a great place.

Nice store with good selection for Batesville. They do have a small meat counter with nice looking meat and seafood. Veggies pretty nice looking. I would shop here if I lived here. I may make a point of having an ice chest, so can pick up stuff on the way home.
