No all you can eat Fish Fry . Won’t be back . Service was ok had to flag down the server to find out about no more all you can eat .

The staff are all so friendly and great at what they do! Food is always tasty and drinks perfect, all at a fantastic price. You can’t beat the view overlooking the lake.We have aways enjoyed the V!

In my opinion as a newcomer to the area, this is the best bar in the Twin Cities. It’s clean, best views in town, kind, and welcoming clientele, very kind bartenders and staff. I have nothing but great things to say about it. Bar none, no pun intended, the best bar I’ve found to date up here.

We frequently gather at the VFW after our Tuesday sailboat race for dinner and drinks. The food is good, and the prices are reasonable. It is rather noisy though.

Disappointing dinner experience July 2 from 5-8 pm. In short, poor service, no waitress to get a drink from or our bill which was incorrect twice, or anything at all, but most frustrating was the bull bites came looking like they were cooked an hour ago. The onion ring tangles looked like French’s crispy fried onions from a can. I was there two weeks ago and it was so good I talked my friend into having the bull bites last night. When we asked a passing waitress about the meal, she looked at it and said I don’t know and walked back inside.

Excellent Rueben sandwich server here! Full of REAL corned beef, sauerkraut & decent 1000 island dressing! Relatively less expensive drink prices here (just go a few blocks to downtown WBL). Today I tried Apple Proper Irish Whiskey for $6 and got the tshirt as well! Guinness on tap! There's a nice view of White Bear Lake outside the window but it's still frozen-will come back in the summer for a patio lunch!

A nice VFW on the lake with good views. The food is very good and reasonably priced. I had walleye fingers with tots and we had a tasty Reuben sandwich. They had a special on a shot of Proper Apple with a free T-shirt included.

I went to this place with my brother for the ribs. I said the same thing "Ribs? At VFW?!"However, I put my foot in my mouth right after the first bite!! I don't give out 5 stars easily.These were some of the best, fall-off-the-bone ribs I've had, and definitely in small town MN. Great Job and I'll be back!!

We recently had reservations here following my dad's burial at Fort Snelling. We experienced wonderful service! Wish I knew our server's name (date was 1/17/23). She knew the occasion and offered her condolences. Service was prompt and attentive. Food was great; orders were correct and served fresh. Plenty to choose from on the menu and prices are reasonable. Love the location, right on White Bear Lake, lighter and airier than many VFW environments. Thank you for accommodating us and providing great service!
