“This is the best shop in West St. Paul. Rick and staff are honest a fair.
I had a flat tire that I was expecting to drop off and come back to pick up later in the day. However, Rick jumped right up and had his team take care of it right while I waited. Wasn't even ten minutes and they told me the repair was done and I was all set.

“Yesterday (8/31/2024), I was in a pinch after I tried to do my own oil change and failed to get the oil filter off due to it being over tightened. I pulled up to their shop without an appointment and spoke with Bob and despite him being busy he took the time out of his day to lift my car and take it off for me free of charge. It's rare you see service like this anymore and I will be taking my vehicle their for additional service when the time comes. Amazing enough it was less than what they said! Super nice guys ! And got us in the same day on a Saturday no less!

“I went in to have my brakes checked out as I was smelling them burning as I drove. They checked it out pretty quickly and had a few recommendations of what it could be but had said it would be best to wait as to not replace anything unnecessary and it wouldn't hurt the car. I had gone to Midas and they wanted to replace my entire rear brakes and all so these guy are both extremely nice and honest with their work. My retired mechanic uncle recommends them as well.”
“We made a last-minute decision to take our 2011 van on a several-day visit out-of-town, but it needed quite bit of deferred maintenence work completed on very short notice. TGK Maplewood Manager Evan was great to work with as he committed to getting it done on time (even earlier!) for us. Even with a big storm that knocked out their power for some hours, they got it all done, and done well. We feel so much better now taking our preferred vehicle on this trip. “Recently got my tires rotated at the dealership and my driver side front wheel began making a noise. I didn’t want to take it back to the dealership because I didn’t want to get ripped off. I explained to the gentleman (perhaps the owner) what was happening and he immediately knew what the issue was. He asked to confirm by doing a quick drive. When he came back, he spent 10 seconds doing something to the wheel. He went for another drive and NO MORE NOISE. When he returned, he explained what the issue was and how he fixed it. I asked him how much I owed him and he said nothing. I left his shop feeling so appreciative of his honesty and knowledge. Any other mechanic (and the dealership) would have seen the opportunity to make easy money off me by charging me an hour or two for labor and I would never know the problem was a simple fix. Hope not to deal with future car problems but now I know where I can go if any arise. Thank you!”

“We’ve used Flanery’s three times now. The first to listen to a noise and ultimately have an old heat plate taken off, the second to get rear brakes replaced and then today, to borrow a portable jump starter for my husband’s car. No charge to borrow it (not even a name/number/form- just trust!), no charge for the heat plate removal…they legit feel like neighborhood dads I call whenever one of our cars does something funny. They’ll help for free when they can and they did great work at a good price when we got the brakes done.

“I recently took my Mitsubishi Outlander to Kennedy Transmission for a CVT transmission rebuild. They did a fantastic job – the car is running smoothly and feels brand new again.
But what truly impressed me was their commitment to customer service. After the rebuild, I encountered a separate issue with the transmission (not related to their work).
