In the event you are looking to have some auto body work done in the West Saint Paul area, you may want to reconsider if you are thinking of choosing Caliber Collision on Thompson Ave.My daughter’s 2014 Equinox had unfortunately been side swipped on the passenger side just prior to Christmas of 2023 (the second time in 2 years). We contacted Calliber Collision to get an estimate. I brought the car to Calliber who provided an estimate and even had an opening to begin the repair work the next day. My daughter dropped off the car the next morning so repairs could begin and we were given a 2 week time period for the repairs to be completed. Calliber finished the body work prior to the deadline and called to have us pick up the car.I dropped my daughter off at Calliber to bring the car home. On the way home, she attempted to adjust the passenger side view mirror from the electric control on the driver side, but the passenger side mirror did not move. Once she got home (about 1 mile from Calliber) she contacted them to inform them the sideview mirror was not working. Calliber said to bring it back and Calliber would look at it. After 2 days, Calliber explained that since the car was 10 years old, things "do break" and Calliber would not be able to help us. My daughter asked that the inside door panel be removed so we could look at it and try to repair it ourselves, which Calliber did. After, we purchased a new side view mirror which did not fix the problem. We then hired our mechanic to look at it. He once again tried the new mirror, which did not work. He then bought a new driver side control. When he purchased the new control, his supplier said he doubted this would be the cause of the problem because they had never sold one in over 6 years. The new control did not fix the problem.Fortunately for us, our mechanic has great customer service skills, and decided to look into it further. In tracing out the wiring, he determined the wiring harness from the car had a 5 pin harness and the one from the door was a 9 pin harness. The missing pins are what control some of the features on the mirror that were not working, (i.e. heated mirror and mirror motor). He then got “creative” and manually added some wires from the car to the door harness and the mirror now works! So on March 1st, I went to Calliber to explain what we had found out and to see if they could help pay for half of the $200 that was spent on time and materials. Calliber agreed that the cause of the issue was the 5 pin harness, but claimed the only work they did related to the harness was “unplugging it”. Calliber said there was no way the mirror could have worked with the way it was. I explained to Calliber that I had adjusted the mirror on the way to get the estimate and my daughter had adjusted the mirror on the way to drop it off for the repairs. Calliber said it was impossible and said my daughter and I were wrong since the only way it could have worked with the 5 pin harness from the car would have been for a “fix” similar to one my mechanic had done and Calliber would have noticed such a fix.I will never go back to Calliber. Their customer service skills when an issue arises is terrible. In my case, what started out with a one to one conversation with Tony, ended up becoming a 3 on 1 discussion as two additional employees joined ranks with Tony. I want to make sure my friends and family never trust Calliber to do any work on their vehicles. In the event you do decide to do business with Calliber, I strongly suggest that when the estimate is provided, you demo that your wipers, electric windows, mirrors, locks, lights (and any other accessories near the area of work) all work and that you expect them to work when you pick up the vehicle.

Stopped in to ask a question about a piece that came separated in the wheel well (I'll call it the wheel fender) on my car. The guy that helped me was quite nice and helpful. (Sorry, I don't remember his name.) The wheel fender had separated from the trim, and I wanted to know how bad it was and what it would cost to fix it. I thought it might be costly. Turns out it snapped back into place pretty easily and most likely got caught on a curb. Thanks!!
