I have been in numerous butcher shops in the area and as far south as Chatfield looking for neck bones and broth bones for soup. I just couldn't find the place that could get them both to me at a fair price, until I walked into Taylor meats in Delano. They listened to me rant and then presented me with exactly what I was looking for. Super nice people & Great customer service and product. Forget the grocery stores, take the drive.

Just used for a processor for a local beef farmer. They processed my 1/2 cow 436 lb hang weight. After it was processed I ended up with 227lbs. I got a total of 67 pounds of ground beef, 50 lbs of sticks and 110 lbs of roasts and steaks. I lost 48% of my beef in processing. Yikes. The beef sticks are cheaper to buy from them then to get your cow processed into beef sticks. Seems kinda shady to me.My beef was 2.55 from my farmer, that’s under the average for 2023 spring. Slaughter was $58 per half.Cut and wrap was .85 per pound.Beef sticks $4 per pound to make and cook, an addition $2 per pound of you want shrink wrapped.2 stars because they are friendly and do make good beef sticks.As of 2/31.23 they are only open until 5 pm M-F and no weekends. Hard to work with.Just to be clear I paid more processing then going in and buying beef in there own store. I lost money calculating steaks at $15/pound, Roast at $5/pound, ground beef at $5/pound, beef sticks at $10/pound. All my stuff added up equaled less then what I paid to process my 1/2 cow. At their processing rates there ground beef is $3.5 to them but over $5 to me. They are taking meat, loosing meat, broken scale calculating hang weight, or just really bad at processing. A cow doesn’t loose 48% of its hang weight, please look it up if you feel otherwise.

Wow, I brought in some beaver meat and venison to have cheddar sticks made. They suggested adding beef to help firm up the sticks due to the consistency of the beaver meat. Best sticks I've ever had. The hot dogs are the bomb as well. Great customer service!!!

They processed beef for me about 8 years ago and while there I purchased bacon and other pork products to try. Wow, I still dream of the flavor and quality of that bacon, it was amazing. Dreaming about it is no longer enough, I’m going back to fill up the freezer. Just because it isn’t close is no longer an excuse. :)

They are always kind and courteous, and happy to answer your questions. I've had deer processed here for years, and have bought other meat products as well. They've got great summer sausage and meat sticks!

I found their service excellent! They went the extra mile to answer my novice questions about how they make their sausage. They processed a hog for me and did an outstanding job. I drive over 20 miles for the good service.
